Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Lenmar DLCE5 Digital Camera Equivalent to the Canon LP-E5 BatteryCustomer Review: Works fine Summary: 5 Stars
Out of the box it works well. Using it in a T1i. Slides in easily. True test will be what it does a year from now as most aftermarket batteries work well initially but some will crap out after a year or so. For the price I took the chance this will be a good one.
Update: got the battery grip for the T1i for xmas. Grip works well with the canon battery and this one in there together.
Customer Review: Poor fit Summary: 1 Stars
The battery does not slide freely out of the battery bay on my T1i when I try to remove it. The only way to get it out is to use a thin blade (e.g., a swiss knife) to ease it out.
I'm not saying that they're all like this one (perhaps I got a bum one that is slightly too fat), but the risk of this happening with another one is just not worth the $20-30 savings over a Canon battery.
Customer Review: Great value Summary: 5 Stars
As others have noted, this is an exact replacement for the original equipment on my Canon Rebel and works just as well. I have 2 now, so I switch back an forth often, usually before the battery dies, so I can't say exactly how many exposure before it dies, but can tell you I've taken over 200 on one battery and it was still OK.
Customer Review: Lenmar DLCE5 Summary: 5 Stars
I was going to buy the Canon battery for my new Canon DSLR then saw this much cheaper product. At first, I was skeptical, but I saw some positive reviews from other Lenmar users and that they had no problems. I gave it a shot and it works great. No reason to spend $80 for a Canon battery. This works perfectly fine.
Customer Review: Same as the Canon, much cheaper Summary: 5 Stars
I haven't noticed any difference between this and the battery from Canon that came with the charger. I have NOT done comparison tests, but I just haven't noticed any differences. At this point I've probably charged it, a dozen times? I'll update if I notice some degradation in performance relative to the Canon.
