Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Lenmar DLCE5 Digital Camera Equivalent to the Canon LP-E5 BatteryCustomer Review: Great Battery Summary: 5 Stars
I had purchased a new Canon T1i and bought this battery so I would have a second battery if needed. The first time I had to use it was on a trip into Carlsbad Caverns and, considering that I would need to be using flash and Live View in the caverns I was uncertain how long it would last. It was, after all, not an original equipment battery.
The battery allowed me to take 230+ pictures before it died. That may not sound like much considering users should normally expect 500-600 pictures on a charge, but except for the first dozen or so pictures taken outside the cave ALL of the remaining pictures were taken either with a flash or (most) with Live View and time exposures. I consider 230+ pictures to be excellent for that kind of usage and the battery performed much better than I would have expected. If I purchase another battery to carry with me it will be one of these.
Customer Review: High quality battery for low price. Summary: 5 Stars
I bought two of these batteries from Amazon for my new Canon T1i, free Second Day shipping with my Prime membership.
The battery life is great for the price, it's pretty close to the battery life of the original Canon one. During my trip to Dallas, I took about 600 pictures with one of this battery, used flash light on about 150 of the pictures. The battery still have 2 out of 4 bars(so maybe around 30% power) left when I took it out, I'm sure I can take another 200 or so pictures with it. No fitment problem with my T1i. The only con I have is that packaging is really hard to open. :)
This is the best battery you can get for your Canon DSLR camera without paying $50 for the original Canon one. Highly recommended!
Customer Review: Battery Fail Summary: 1 Stars
It's true it has a very good price, i bought it at the same order with my Canon T1i.
Canon Battery at first time had less life than this "LENMAR DLCE5" who takes closely 50% more than CANON; now (1 year later and 5757 pictures) the battery drains after about 50 shots (first time shoots more than 700, i remember i can shoot the entire 16Gb card and i was very surprised, by the meanwhile the canon holds only about 10Gb); Canon still maintain its original lifetime.
I don't recommend this battery only if you want a long spare time for a very short lifetime, i just charge and recharge the battery about 5 or 6 times in one year.
Customer Review: As good as the Canon original Summary: 5 Stars
I was hesitant to buy a battery other than a Canon OEM battery for my T1i camera after reading many complaints from users of other brands of replacement batteries, especially those that didn't fit in the camera properly. But a friend told me he had no problems with the Lenmar battery he purchased for his Canon 40D, so I decided to take a chance.
I'm completely satisfied with this battery. It fits in the camera properly, charges well and takes just as many pictures as the Canon original. At about half the price of the Canon battery, it is a bargain.
Customer Review: Great so far. Summary: 5 Stars
I've only owned this replacement battery for a short time, but for my Canon T1i it's been the perfect replacement battery. I usually swap this and my original Canon battery out for each other when they start to look as though they're wearing down. I put one on the charger and go back to work with the other. I can't tell the difference between the two. Only time will tell how well this one will perform in the long run, but for now I'm completely happy.
