Lighter than the Canon original, but still good for several hundred snaps with the Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera (Black Body Only).
I bought this battery as a supplement to the original Canon battery (Canon LP-E5 Battery Pack for Canon Digital Rebel T1i, XS & XSi Digital SLR Camera), primarily because of its lower price. The battery is indeed lighter than the Canon one, but it went for more than two hundred snaps with the Canon XSi camera with the battery indicator staying at the full mark. The battery seems to be well constructed, and fits in snugly into the Canon charger Canon LC-E5 Battery Charger for Canon LP-E5 Li-Ion Batteries
