The lap desk itself is fine, but despite an all black item being featured in the photo, the item that came had a very bright light blue cushion - not at all what I wanted. My husband uses it when he's doing his CrossWord Puzzles. It's more comfortable then using his lap or a book. Our cat loves it too. It's going to work out great during the summer, while we are sitting on our deck, the wind wont blow his paper around . .

This is the best laptop I have seen! Large top with clip to hold papers and indentations for pens or pencils. The cushion is black and has two buttons tacked on to keep the poly beads from settling in one spot. Well constructed and attractive. Love it!Customer Review: Satisfied

Good size, with room to the mouse. It is light and easy to carry. The padding on the back is very comfortable and fit perfect on your lap. It's made of plastic and the item comes with a bit of a bulge in the middle so, using a Laptop you'll see issues. Basically, the laptop "rocks" on the "bubble" in the middle and never a fully flat surface.
I'd recommend wood.
