Customer Review: Good Lap Desk For Big Laptops - Recommended

This Lap Desk is large enough to accommodate my 17" laptop, with room to spare. Since I work from home almost 100% of the time and sit in a recliner, this has been a real nice addition.
The padding is comfortable and provides insulation from the hot air being blown from the laptop's cooling fan.
The large surface area has indentations for holding pencils/pens and clip for hold down papers, etc. This is more useful when using the Lap Desk without the laptop.
The handle is also useful for moving it about, which is nice since this Lap Desk is good for use by passengers in the car.
The only issue is that it does tend to warp fairly easily when any weight is applied.
Overall, this is a fairly inexpensive Lap Desk that is better than expected - Recommended!

I purchased this lap desk as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. Let me start by saying that the descriptions on amazon were absolutely acurate. My disappointment came from not researching the product thoroughly. My first gripe is that it is called "jumbo'. While it is as big as the measurements report, it's size is adequate at best. My second problem is the bean-bag cushion. This cushion is shallow & maybe one third full of beans or whatever. It is a cushion- barely. Kind of like using a rolled up T-shirt in absence of a pillow. I still give this item three stars. It is everything it claims to be- minus the "jumbo" title. It does what it was made to do. The price was right. I would simply suggest that, if the customer has a decent budget to work with, a little more shopping could land you a nicer lap desk.Customer Review: Piece of junk

I bought mine at Hobby Lobby. Within three months of use with a 12" laptop, one of the two tuft buttons in the cushion came out of its anchor, the plastic board cracked at the handle, the cardboard that the cushion and the plastic are joined with began separating, and the other tuft button, while still attached to its anchor, has become so wobbly it has worked open the hole it's sewn through enough that the microbeads inside the cushion leak out at a rate of about 30 at a time while it's on my lap.
I'll not be able to use it much longer. It was wonderfully convenient for the first few months until it began to disintegrate. I have owned it less than a year. I wish there were a better quality model of the same item.
I would not buy it again.

We purchased this lap desk (which has a black molded plastic top and a variety of colored microbead insulated cushion bases), along with the Lapinator Plus which costs twice as much. The Lapinator looks much sturdier in the photos: Boy were we wrong- It has a very flimsy vinyl top with a molded foam base that's way uncomfortable. This lap desk is much sturdier, more comfortable, larger (2 inches wider and 1 inch longer), and all for half the price. It also has pencil wells and a clip on one end which make it suitable for use without the laptop computer. Buyer beware: Take a careful look at more expensive lap desks. The only desks we've seen that will be sturdier will have metal or wood tops.Customer Review: I need one of these!

I bought one of these for my future mother-in-law for her birthday. She has a lot of knee problems and the best thing for her is to relax in her chair. She loves borrowing my future husband's laptop and using it on her chair or doing crafts. I thought this would be perfect so she didn't have to balance the computer on a pillow. I was playing on the laptop using her lap desk and it was comfortable and so much easier. Since I'm getting married and I'm doing a lot of DIY projects, I try to do some on my coffee table so I can have a movie in the background..... this would definitely come in handy. I will be getting one for myself!
