Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of LaCie 301827U d2 Quadra 1 TB eSATA/FireWire800/FireWire400/USB 2.0 External Hard DiskCustomer Review: LaCie 301827U d2 Quadra 1 TB Summary: 5 Stars
I have several LaCie hard drives. I have not been disappointed in any of them. They work effortlessly with my G5 Mac and my Mac Powerbook. The TB Quadra I can hook up with my Firewire connections or USB 2.0 connections. I haven't used the eSATA connection. But either connections I use it always worked perfectly with my editing, retrieving, and saving video that I work with on a constant basis.

Customer Review: Great for Mac Summary: 5 Stars
Since my precious USB ports are over-utilized, it was nice to find a disk I could plug into my firewire and not worry about. Love all the space, and it comes with decent backup software (though with Time Machine it may not matter). Also like the simple, elegant look, since this is in my living room connected to my media pc (mac mini). My prior drive was a network drive, so the speed improvement is awesome!
Customer Review: 3 laCie hard drives wnt down after 1 year of use Summary: 1 Stars
I work with a lot of images, and about a two years ago purchased three laCie hard drives, 500 gb, 1 tb and 1.5 tb. All three are dead now, and they all died same way - after a long non use period of time (from a week to a couple of months) you turn them on and nothing happens, they are dead, the disk is not spinning and no means can help. If you are looking for something reliable, please find something else.
Customer Review: solid Summary: 5 Stars
I've used LaCie drives since the beginning of time. I've had few problems, other than the darn things keep filling up and I have to keep buying more.
1TB is enough for backups of video files and other project files.
This drive seems to run cooler than the previous D2's. And it's cooler looking than anything Maxtor or WD have.
Customer Review: LaCie's terabyte external hard disk fill the bill Summary: 5 Stars
LaCie's 1 TB external hard disk is plugin-and-play with my Mac network. With multiple connection cables, it is easy to daisychain it to my usual Time Machine external hard disk. And it is easily transportable from location to location. What a relief to finally have all my videos safely stored in one place!
