Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Lexar JumpDrive Lightning 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive JDP4GB-231Customer Review: I Love This Jump Drive And Amazon Too Summary: 5 Stars
I have been wanting to get one of these awesome Lexar drives for some time and I never thought I'd get one at this incredibly low price. The beautiful stainless steel is very classy as well as durable.
The drive comes with preinstalled software that lets you access your outlook express email accounts and has Internet Explorer that lets you import your favorites from your computer browser.
I could go on and on about how much I love it and functional it is but the bottom line is I recommend it highly so buy one now.

Customer Review: Usable--if you can open it Summary: 3 Stars
In the past, I have been very satisfied with Lexar JumpDrives. Seeing that they no longer create the Sport model, I thought I would try the Lightning. To be honest, almost all usb drives are becoming affordable, putting massive amounts of memory at your fingertips. So, I thought, why not get a sleek looking model that (with a metal casing) is sure to be durable? Lightning fulfills all of these criteria, however, the flaw that I found came right along with its sleek casing: the near impossibility of getting the darned cap off--there is no way to grip it. Seriously, I fought with it for fifteen minutes the first time I tried to use it; not the best for trying to do a quick download.
Customer Review: It pays for itself in increase productivity Summary: 5 Stars
This is one very fast jump drive
I use it all the time at work to transfer large files.....my work buddies are always amazed at the speed. I wish I had the 8gb version, but the price increase was too much
One tip: If you don't need the "PowerToGo" software, you can temporarily remove it (copy it to your hard drive).
Some computers (like photo kiosks) would not let the "PowerToGo" software run,,,,thus I couldn't access files. So simply remove this softare (format the Lexar) and you'll have a nice clean memory stick.
btw if you're worrying about the cap comming off...don't....it seats very well and this stick is very well made
Customer Review: Way FAST flash drive Summary: 5 Stars
I paid about $70 for my first one of these - way expensive for a 4GB drive nowadays. But when I saw how fast it really was, I felt it was worth the $$$. However, I later found that the connector is somewhat fragile - maybe no more so than other drives, I'm not sure - but I broke mine when it was in a laptop usb port and I tilted the laptop up. Bummer! Then I found that now (about two months after purchasing the first one), the price has come down to around $35 if you shop around. Highly recommend these, especially at that price. You can get cheaper 4GB drives now (maybe around $18), but they're nowhere as good as these.
Customer Review: speed- and quality that LASTS Summary: 5 Stars
this UFD is ideal for booting alternate OS: nLite XP Pro or pre install (BartPE or WinPE). Of the dozen or so high end UFD I own and have tried for this purpose lightening remains my first boot choice.
Since lightning is unavailable >4gig my next boot UFD will likely be Corsair GTR. The latter is quad channel, but its dual channel offering is not as awesome as the lexar lightning.
step up lexar. I want more of the same in larger capacities!
I hope adata [N909] will not be alone in offering eSatap (eSata combo USB) interface flash media.
