Customer Review: Charges fine, but my Canon camera rejects it...

I bought this battery as a cheaper option to the Canon replacement battery for my PowerShot SD880IS. The battery charged up fine in the charger that came with my camera. However, when I put the battery in the camera, I got the message: "Replace battery pack". Comparing side-by-side to the Canon battery, it looks similar except that the metal contacts on the Lenmar are a bit more recessed than the ones on the Canon. It's probably due to this that my camera won't take the Lenmar (incomplete contact with the camera contacts).
Overall, I can't give this a good review since it didn't work in my camera, even though it was supposed to be an equivalent to the Canon battery.

Bought 2 of thses at an unbelievably low price compared to the Canon brand battery. Only opened one so far and it charged fully and has worked normally, but I have only taken about 150 pictures to date. However, I have extensively used the display trying to become familiar with all the functions and settings with the new camera. I'll know a lot more about the battery life later, but expect it to be slightly less that the Canon one since it is rated with a slightly lower capacity.

I ordered this battery from Adorama Camera for the first time. I took a chance of may not getting it by X-mas using standard shipping. Within 7 hours from ordering, I got an email confirmation of the order and a shipping notification by AM next day. Two days later, it was in my mail box, in sealed plastic package just like in the store. I haven't tested the unit yet, but expect it will be fine. If not, I will update.
By the way, their shipping rate is reasonable as compared to some others ($3.10). It is great if they have a feature to allow a flat rate schedule if one chooses to be shipped more than one items in the same package.

Let me start by saying that I rarely comment on other reviews. However in this case, I need to question why Amazon chose the Spotlight Reviewer for this particular product. All but one other review was for 5 stars...the other one was 4 stars. I give it 5 stars because it performs at least as well as my original Canon battery. It charges just as quicky and holds its charge just as long. As for its size, the battery is the exact same size as the original. The best thing about this Lenmar battery is the price. At $13.99 plus Free Super Saver Shipping on Amazon this is a great deal. I highly recommend this as an extra or replacement battery.Customer Review: Pretty good for generic!

I bought two of these for my new Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP Digital Camera with 4x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Silver) and so far they work good. I did notice as a couple others have said that when I put them to charge they tend to show the green light pretty fast. I just leave them in a couple more hours after that shows and they work good. I don't think they last as long as the canon battery but the time frame is pretty close I believe. I purchased it when it was $6.90 and I think it was a steal at that price!
