I took a trip in my MINI Cooper S (JCW). We were using the DC power outlet to run a radar detector. But when we wanted to plug in our iPhone or MacBook Pro to recharge them, we had to unplug the radar detector. When I learned about the Lenmar SPP-04 Power Port 4 Outlet product, I ordered it.
It fits nicely under the center console and provides enough ports for my radar detector, laptop, phone, and ipod. I recommend it to anyone who feels port "poor."

It works well and seems well built, no problems. Once, it stopped working, and a quick call to the company got me an explanation of how to change its internal fuse (it's inside the piece that plugs into the car's outlet... something it probably says in the manual, but who reads manuals for these things, much less keeps them around? Anyway, this design is much better than one without a fuse, which would probably just have shorted out and needed to be ditched.Customer Review: So far so good

Purchased this product with knowledge of poor reviews. So far, I have not had an issue with it. Just wish the dash sticky pad held better as I have put it on the side of my console/dash. I have the following hooked up: ipod, radar detector, gps, and cell phone. Seems to charge cell phone, play ipod, and gps is same as before, and radar detector was on. I would recommend for the person who needs multiple outlets. PS - I drive a 2006 VW Passat.Customer Review: Draws Power Even When Not Being Used

This unit is well designed however because of the LED light on it, it continues using power even when nothing is connected. Thus you must unplug it after each use. If you don't, after four days you'll come back to a pickup with a dead battery, like I did. When looking at the product description and photo before buying, it didn't appear to have a light on it. I am not impressed. There is no way to disable the LED without tearing the unit apart.Customer Review: Solid Product

I have been using this adapter for a couple weeks.
No problems with the item. The connections are solid and tight.
I think it makes sense to have a cord on the
adapter, some of the other ones plug in without a cord and people complain
that the whole adapter falls out of the plug. With this design you won't have
all that weight hanging on the plug.
