Customer Review: Impressive internet purchase
Summary: 4 Stars

I had made the mistake of going with a different brand at a chain store locally. I took them back, and decided to be patient and order from Amazon. I had researched a bit and decided this was my best bet. I needed them for when I go to the gym, and ear buds were just not staying in place.
The ear clips are different from what I have used before. Previous earphones had a rotating type clip so if I needed to hear someone, I could just flip it outward but leave the clip in place on my ear. These will not do this. It isn't really a con though, because frankly, I find that they stay on my ears a LOT better. The other issue though, they are harder to put on since they lack that "flexibility". But I would rather they stay on.
The sound quality can't be any better for this price point in my opinion. I bought some for about the same price, I couldn't hear the music and it sounded like a tin can. Koss has done very well in capturing the true sound coming from my mp3 player.
The cord could have been a tad longer, or like my other pair, have an offset longer length on one of the ears (so I can pull the cord behind my head and off to the side of my body easier). I haven't been too bothered by this though, just something I noticed different and had to work with it more. Maybe running the cord under my shirt and out my sleeve, to avoid the cord from feeling like it will catch on something, would help.
I will certainly be getting another pair of these (or comparable from Koss) when they need replaced. Also will be ordering a pair soon for my son who is getting an mp3 player for his birthday. I am confident they will be great for his needs as well.

Customer Review: Good Performance, but only Fair Fit and Construction
Summary: 3 Stars

I just received these headphones yesterday. They shipped very quickly which is a big thumbs up for eek technology. The sound is much improved over my ipod earbuds I was stuck with for some time. Billed as lightweight, they certainly fit the bill. But this lightness constantly makes me think they're about to fall off. It's a small price to pay for something that never irritates my ears or all my piercings like other over-the-ear or in-the-ear headphones.

My negative comments have to do with construction and fit.
It is not just the light weight that causes me to adjust. If not placed perfectly they do nto fit snugly against my ear. I see nothing too special about this "clip" action advertised on the packaging. It simply hooks over the ear like any other headphone with a similar design. But that is to be expected. However, twice while simply adjusting them so that they did not fall off, the behind-the-ear clip and the speaker broke apart. this is a simple fix of just pressing it back into its joint. But it is truly cheap construction. I shouldn't have to worry that if I stick these in my purse and pull them out that they will fall apart. So be careful to not pull on anything too roughly. I must not know my own strength!

the fit with glasses is not perfect of course. Anyone with glasses understands the difficulty of finding comfortable clip headphones. These are probably as good as it will get for the hook style! Like I said, they don't irritate my skin or hurt my ears.

All-in-all this was a good, cheap buy. If you're rough on your toys, try not to be with these! But I would recommend them to a friend.

Customer Review: Great value
Summary: 5 Stars

After using these cans for a while, I think they're probably the best ones you can get for less than $50.

Do they have their problems? Yes. It can be a pain to put them on your ears. You'll mess around with them for ten seconds before you can finally find a way to slip them over your ear. But at the same time, they're also incredibly comfortable for long periods of time, and stay on very very well. They don't wiggle around and fall out of your ear, like the standard iPod earbuds.

The sound quality isn't professional quality, but it has a pretty impressive range for how much you spend. You won't get a good block-rockin beat from these cans, but at least you can tell when a beat is there -- bass is just subdued.

They're also pretty durable. If you put too much strain on the actual cans, the over-ear holder will pop off. I think this is great, as it prevents me accidentally crushing them in my backpack. You can then just snap the ear loop back on to the speaker anytime. Speaking of durability, I sometimes have a slight buzz in the right can. Rare, though.

They actually look pretty nice. I can't really give them five stars on this point, just because... you'll have to do something exceptional to make cans look as good as in-ear phones. Even so, Koss did a perfectly serviceable job with these.

Did I mention comfort? I go on 3+ hour bike rides with these on, and couldn't be happier.

Koss really hit a home run with these cans. Good price, comfortable, the ability to stay on your head, decent durability, fine sound quality. Absolutely recommended.

Customer Review: Great! so far...
Summary: 4 Stars

The sound quality on these is fantastic! I heard things on "Head Like A Hole" I've never heard before.
There is a learning curve to attaching them, but once you get it, it's not a problem.
They are very comfortable. There is an initial funkiness (loose and top heavy) and it took me about a day to get acclimated, but now I don't even notice it.
No issues with the clips breaking or anything coming off or loosening. I tried (gently) to adjust them. No go. They didn't even budge. I even attempted to bend the wire clips some other users suggested, but I was too chicken to push hard. They seem sturdy enough but there's still plastic involved and I didn't want to snap anything. So, I just developed a technique to get them on. It took all of about 5 tries to figure it out.
I wish they'd come with a longer cord, too. I plug them into a desktop PC speaker which sits way at the back of my desk away from me. This causes the cord to come across my paperwork and get in the way. Does anyone know if an extension cord would mess with the sound quality?
I can see how someone who wants to use them for active sports might have trouble with them coming off, which is a drag because I did buy these with riding my bike in mind. Oh well. Maybe riding won't be too vigorous.
I haven't had these long, so I can't speak about the longevity of the materials or sound quality. Thus far they are amazing for the price.
For those still researching - I highly recommend the KSC75 by Koss. They sound great, they're comfortable and they're a great price.
Whatever you choose - Good luck!

Customer Review: Great as sport headphones.
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these for my morning jogs, since the ear buds that came with my iPhone fall out all the time when I exercise. I'm not one to skimp on audio quality, so I began searching online for any kind of sport headphones that had decent sound quality. In my endeavors, I came across the Cnet Koss Porta Pro review. I was shocked at what they were saying about sub 50$ headphones. I was considering trying them for editing my music, so I was looking around at different websites to see what normal people were saying about them. I found that Koss made head phones with the exact same drivers for about half the price, AND THEY WERE CLIP ONS. Needless to say, I had to give them a go for 15$. While these aren't advertised necessarily as "sport headphones" they stay on my head great (compared to iPhone ear buds). Rather comfortable, I tend to forget I'm wearing them after a while. The pads do soak up a little bit of sweat but that airs out quick. Also, in the pair I got, the right clip was bent out a little more than on the left. Not a big problem, it's just a little less snug than my left ear, but it still stays on my head. The audio quality blows me away every time I put them on; There is a glorious amount of bass on these babies! I mostly listen to indie-rock and folk, yet I'm a big fan of bass in those genres, and it comes through great. You can hear the kick drum just pop right out of the song. The higher ranges don't suffer at all from this though, every thing is clear and sounds the way it was meant to. Really just an all around fantastic pair of headphones, can't think of anything comparable in the price range.
