The charger stand/dock works great just as advertised for iphones with protective covers on. The only negative encountered is the retaining clip will come loose if you are too "rough" seating the phone to the dock. Not a great big deal, just a disappointing pain they should be able to fix.
Plan to buy a second one even with the flaw.

This is the only dock I found that supports the Iphone properly and you can leave your case on. It also looks cool. It is a little pricey because you supply your own cord but I guess you are paying for the convenience of not having to take your case off. That is why I purchased one for me and my wife.
