Customer Review: 60 Days & Unit is Completely DEAD!

I purchased this unit from BestBuy the first week of May. Now it's the first week of July & I came home to find the unit unresponsive - will not power on.
I HAD been using it without issue with my iPod Touch 2 Gen. It played beautifully & charged the iPod with no problems whatsoever!! I loved that little system!
I usually dock my iPod at night & play quiet music while I sleep, then undock & take the iPod to work with me for a full day of listening to music. Never had an issue in 2 months & now suddenly the unit is completely dead. I paid $170 for this system & for it to be dead after 2 months is simply unacceptable!!
Will be returning to BestBuy since they are supposed to honor the manufacturer's warranty. We will see how it goes. I'm sure they will just hand me a new one which will also die in less than 6 months.

I like minimal-looking, elegant yet functional tech solutions, and this little speaker set is amazing. My house has 10ft ceilings, open construction. I have my iGroove right at the juncture of the living room/dining room/kitchen, circa 600+ square feet coverage, and the sound completely fills the space. Admittedly, I'm no expert audiophile, but I've tried my iPod on various EQ settings, and I think the "electronic" setting provides the most balanced sound for this space - but play with the settings on yours to see what you prefer. Added bonus: without using a docking adapter, the existing dock accommodates my 5G iPod with its hardshell case. This system is cheaper than the Bose, and I don't see how the Bose could possibly perform better. Plus the Klipsch is also slightly smaller, and (I think anyway) more attractive. How do you review something that's as near perfect as possible. Sound GREAT! Room filling. Amazing for it's size. Easy to use. Yes you have to be in sight view to use the remote. And that was my only fault with this system. The "feel" of the remote should be easy and smooth. It's not. Hard edges but really just an annoyance. They should have looked at Apples remote.
Hefty for it's size. The power brick is normal size. The sound is really, really HUGE for it's size. Even at top volume the speakers hold the sound true and rich. iPod alarm works perfectly so it can double as an alarm clock as long as you're not an extra sleep button hitter.
I love the sleep timer. I'd been using the TV sleep timer and have found I sleep better listening to some decent music.
Overall a great little machine.

I won this through a charity raffle. I was going to simply sell in on eBay or Amazon Marketplace, but I wanted to turn it on to make sure it worked.
After listening to one song, I wasn't sure if I wanted to sell it anymore. After listening to about 10 more songs, I was sold. I don't really need it, but this thing sounds so great that I will make sure I find a use for it.
This thing could easily function as a sound system for a party or out on the patio hanging out by the pool in the summer. It's pretty compact (maybe 1 CD case tall by 2 CD cases wide) but it is definitely packed with power. I cranked it up pretty high and the sound quality never skipped a beat. Great bass, great sound. Simply a great product. Klipsch appears to be as good as I've always heard.

Received this unit for Christmas along with a new iPod Touch. Considering its diminutive size the sound is quite respectable. I have not compared this to Bose, Altec Lansing, head to head, but I have tried those units in stores and my perception is that from the standpoint of sound quality you would not get a better bang for your buck. I have large Klipsh horns for my main stero so maybe I'm biased and prefer sound a bit on the bright side?The only down side is that the unit does not charge the new iPod Touch. If I were on the design team I woould also throw in a basic alarm clock function. With 32GB of music on there I don't find it necessary to sync often so alarm and charging would make this a perfect iPod accessory for my nightstand.
