I bought this at 93 bucks from one of the amazon marketplace sellers (Monsterxxxxxx). Unfortunately - the item was defective. It was unable to copy. I have a previous 32gb Kingston flash drive bought directly from amazon and that was in perfect condition. Somehow - with the 64gb from the marketplace - it looks cheaply made and seems to be a fake (even the red vinyl seems to be peeling off). I paid for return postage and got my refund back. But it is not worth the effort. Having read other folks' comments on the possibility of counterfeits - I am more wary now and would buy direct from amazon even though it is more expensive.Customer Review: Fake Drive

I purchased a fake Kingston. The true Kingston is fine, it works the way it is supposed to. The fake kingstons do not have an engraving on the metal piece that plugs into the usb port It should start out DT150 64/GB. If it doesn't show this it is fake. There is also test software that you can download on the internet called H2testw v1.4. This will verify the true size of the memory chip. You have to run the test software to verify the counterfit, plugging it in will not tell you the truth. If it is fake you will loose files, files will be corrupt, will not play, and you will loose your data. BIG PROBLEM!Customer Review: Product Failed

I bought this for about 125$ "new" on Amazon. It worked for about 3 weeks, sort of well... then one day, failed. It stopped being recognized by any device (Vista, XP, Mac) that I own.
No drivers, no update available, etc. Left a trouble ticket at Kingston website (pretty non-intuitive process, BTW) and am expecting some sort of answer. There are some other upset customers of this product who have posted...
I think I might have received a fake "new" product. I like Kingston overall, but this immediate failure is uncharacteristic.
Stay away from this product.

The vendor did not deliver the product on time, I bought two and only one was delivered.
After opening the package I realized the product was of very poor quality, not looking like a real Kingston product. At the beginning the product seemed to work ok, but after a couple of days of usage, some data stored started to disappear. Tried to format the Pend drive but it did accept being formatted, what confirmed that the product was not a real Kingston pen drive. When contacting the vendor he did not correspond well, and refused to accept any claims. I do not recommend this product from this vendor.

I purchased this Kingston USB Flash Drive on Amazon.com.
The seller was other than Amazon. I did receive it very fast and
the packaging looked legitimate.
The first thing I always do is format. I was unable to format this one.
I contacted Kingston Tecnical Support. After looking at it closely, the markings
of a legitimate Kingston were missing. It is indeed a counterfeit.
Apparently, there are plenty of these out there being sold thru reputable
sites. Beware!!!
The seller has been very cooperative so far, I returned it this morning.
