Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Kingston ValueRAM 2 GB 667MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL5 SODIMM Notebook MemoryCustomer Review: Great for my MacBook! Summary: 5 Stars
I recently purchased Aperture to use on my Macbook, which previously had 1 GB of RAM. Aperture was super slow, so I bought this to upgrade. It installs a little hard and I was never really sure if I had it pushed in all the way, but when I screwed the cover back on and replaced the battery my Mac booted up fine and recognized the RAM right away. Aperture runs much faster and doesn't get "hung up" anymore. I have always purchased Kingston RAM upgrades for my PC's in the past, and I had never upgraded the RAM in a Mac before so I was a bit nervous. It really was much easier than I thought and much cheaper than buying a new laptop or having someone else install it for me. I have never had an issue with a Kingston product-EVER. Great products, great price, what more could you ask for? Wish this came in Amazon's new Frustration Free Packaging, because as usual it was really annoying to open.

For: "Discrete" MacBook Pro August 2008 "Silver keyboard" unibody (2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo 2Gb 256Mb VRAM 200Gb 5400 RPM).
Wow, $30.99 for this? I couldn't pass this up so I purchased two. As you can see my MacBook Pro came with two 1GB Samsung Cards. Almost purchased the Crucial but this was actually the better price point. Installation was a breeze! Wasn't too sure on this one so I called Apple and they got online went to this site and looked up the model number of this Kingston and they said I would be good to go. They were right. If you want to save some money go with this. I was going to buy at Apple but they want $200 for their memory, I just saved $140! New Macs they charge $600, crazy! You'll be happy with the Kingston, I am. I love my Mac...

I bought this to upgrade my ASUS Eee PC 900 from 1gig to 2gig. It was real easy to install and the computer recognized the new chip immediately. I was hoping that it would help speed up this realy slow PC in opening Apps, but it's only a minor improvement. The PC starts Windows more quickly for sure. But most Apps are still slow to load, especially Windows Explorer. I suspect that the Solid State Hard Drive is to blame, as I've read that regular Hard Drives work faster with this upgrade.
I'd do it again, but just don't get your hopes up too high.
If you're not a techie and are afraid of doing this upgrade yourself, I'd get it anyway as it's practically a no-brainer. Kingston makes good stuff and the included instructions are easy to follow.
I hope this helps!

I got two of these modules and it has definetly addressed Vista's long time performance issues. I relied on Kingston instead of Crucial as they have been in industry for long time. However, I found these available for lesser price at other online stores. Also, if you're thinking of 4 GB; these are selling as two (2X2GB) in one package and are less costlier than going with two individual ones.
Since I purchased 2, 2GB modules seperately I paid different price and Amazon didn't do a price match even within 30 days of purchase date - which according to their customer service was discontinued starting Sep, 2008. Other than that the product itself is pretty promising and does boost the system performance.
Customer Review: Kingston never let you down Summary: 5 Stars
In a few words: Great value for the price you pay (Kingston is a good brand, high quality and reasonable prices).
You won't fail with this memory.
I bought it for my Laptop (Dell Inspiron 6400 which originally had 2GB), now it has 3GB of RAM (which is pretty decent for the work I do with it: Development)
For that laptop you can't upgrade to 4GB because Windows will not recognize it unless you install a 64bit version.
It took me 10 minutes to install it and set up my laptop. Now I feel a little difference in performance ($31.°° was a better investment than replacing my laptop - now with this tough economy you have to think twice before spending).
