Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Kingston Elite Pro 4 GB 133x CompactFlash Memory Card CF/4GB-S2Customer Review: Kingston CF/4GB-S2 4GB Elite Pro Compact Flash Card Summary: 5 Stars
With so many different brands of compact flash cards on the market, I chose the Kingston Brand due to their long history of fine computer memory products. I was not disappointed. These compact flash cards are being used in my Canon 40D DSLR camera with a high burst rate of 6.5 frames per second. A fast write speed is required to maintain this burst of pictures transferring to the card and this card doesn't slow the camera down. I am very pleased with my purchase and Kingston is still on the top of my short list.
Customer Review: Excellent card, great low price. Summary: 4 Stars
Bought this card as an alternative to a Sandisk UltraII for a few dollars less. Have been using it for a few weeks in my Sony alpha dslr with great results.
This card is very fast. I was able to capture a fireworks show with continuous shooting and my my fps were only limited by my camera's buffer, not the card's speed.
Only con is that it holds about 100 shots less than a Sandisk 4Gb.
I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a 4Gb CF card for less than a comparable Sandisk.
Customer Review: Good value CF card for general purpose photography Summary: 5 Stars
It is good for almost every occasion, events, portraits, etc. For sports, if you have 10-12 megapixel camera and shoot in JPG mode, you'll be fine, this card can handle flow of data. If you have 15 megapixel camera or more, you might one a faster card, such as Kingston 266X
But if you shoot fast continuous burst in RAW mode most of the time like sports or other time critical work, you might also need faster card.
Great value for the price.[...]
Customer Review: 4GB card works in Nikon D70 Summary: 5 Stars
After some research I selected this 4GB CompactFlash card from Amazon for use in my Nikon D70 DSLR. Although the camera manual doesn't mention this card as being supported, tests have shown that it works great. I can now shoot 700 images in Raw mode. And the card is fast enough for burst shooting in Raw. For my purposes, having 700 shots available means I can go a whole night of D70 astrophotography without needing to change the card. Great product, great price.
Customer Review: Great bang for the buck! Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this as an add-on to my order to get my free super-saver shipping. I already had a 2GB Sandisk Ultra III. I tested it against the Kingston Elite with similar results. The Kingston had slightly lower write speeds and slightly higher read speeds. I am a casual photographer using an Olympus E-510 DSLR and this card meets all my needs while staying within my budget. It may not be the fastest card on the market, but for the average user it should do the trick.
