Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Kingston DataTraveler I - 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive DTI/8GBCustomer Review: Dependable Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using this now for several years. I must say that without giving it much thought, this drive is dependable. For at least a couple of years I have used this drive for work and play. Constantly transferring files. It has been used with all kinds of software interfaces. It even worked great as a Xbox 360 memory card. I had a lot of thumb drives. If it is important information though, I will depend on this one.
Customer Review: Works, but not the best quality Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this item over a month ago.. Since then, the dongle attachment portion has broken off, and I lost the cap.. Not sure how I lost the cap, it was hanging around my neck, cap on, and then 10 minutes later, i didnt have a cap anymore. This morning it doesn't want to work in my computer. Either it's fried(maybe some dust got into it), or my computer is acting up... Either way, I think I am in the market for a new one...
Customer Review: Great data storage Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my Asus eee pc. I bought it to store music so I wouldn't have to use up the internal memory. It holds a lot - I'm not sure how much because I haven't filled it up yet, but I have over 50 cd's on it and there's still plenty of room. I hope Kingston comes out with a 16 or 32 gb flash drive soon, though. I have way more music than 50 cds. :)
The price is good & I haven't had any problems.
Customer Review: Kingston FTW Summary: 5 Stars
I had the 1gig Data Traveler for the longest time, finally upgraded to the 8gig. I absolutely love the simple design of the drive, and how the cap snaps onto the back.
I wish it came with a lanyard thing, but I have a few lying around anyways, so no big deal. Also, after a while the cap starts to crack, at least it did on my 1gig drive, but it still holds on fine.
Kingston never lets me down
Customer Review: Inexpensive, durable memory Summary: 5 Stars
I bought a 2GB Kingston data traveler over a year ago and have beat it up with daily use. I even left it in my clothes on numerous occasions and it has survived both the wash and dry cyles. It still works just as good as it did the day I took it out of the package. That is why I just got the 8GB data traveler. I expect the same rugged performance and it is also one of the least expensive. I think they are great.
