I highly suggest you refer to your computer's manual to see what MHz rating you need. The last review posted here said 667MHz was only necessary for older 2007 iMacs. This is not true! I bought an iMac in 2008, and then bought an 800MHz ram upgrade after reading forums, when I should have just read my manual... Supposedly the computers are supposed to recognize 800MHz memory anways, and just run them at 667, but this does not always work. For me only one of them would work in combination with the original 667MHz card that was already in the computer. There are many other folks out there on forums stating they've had the same issue.Customer Review: Easy to install and works perfectly!

I bought this RAM for my MacBookPro (late 2007 model - 3,1). Didn't realize at first that I could get it somewhere else besides Apple and almost spent $200 purchasing it from their website. So glad I did a quick Google search to find it here. Saved me more than 50%!
Installation was very straightforward and it took me no more than 5 minutes to swap it out with my old RAM. The OS recognized it instantly upon booting up.
As for performance, it's only been a day so I haven't been able to test out all my applications, but Lightroom 3 definitely performs much faster now vs. how it ran with 2GB of RAM.

What I can I say. If Amazon would let me fill in 20 stars, I would. I noticed an instant boost in speed when I powered on the computer after installing the ram. It took about 5 minutes tops to snap the two cards in, and I've been pleased ever since. I am please with Kingston, and I am please with Amazon. And I will tell you this. I thought that $44 was steep. Compared to $300 (THREE HUNDRED) at the Apple store, with the same quality, I think I knew which to go with. I cannot express in words how much this product means, as far as quality and speed. Buy it, and you'll have a smile that stretches 10 miles wide.Customer Review: Save some money!

if your iMac needs more ram and you need to save some cash, buy this product in lieu of the Mac memory units. Mac wants about $100.00 per Gig. These are totally compatible with the iMac systems and plug in per instructions given with the Mac and Kingston packs. They took about 15 minutes to install.
I am very satisfied with these ram units as is my computer. i installed them into an iMac w/2.8 Intel processor. The iMac was shipped with the standard 2 gig of ram. i do a lot of photo work and needed greater speed. Delivery was quick, installation easy and my iMac is quicker. What a deal!

just installed my imac 20 2.4 core 2 duo, the installation is easy, I followed the instruction below the imac, removed the cover, pulled out the Apple original 1gb memory,then pushed 2gb Kingston in without difficulty,I was able to finished in less than 10 minutes.
The speed is significantly improved after the 4gb kit upgrade. so far I'm happy with this product.
