Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Kingston USB 2.0 microSD Flash Memory Card Reader FCR-MRB (Black)

Customer Review: Neat little reader
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this for my Micro SDHC 8GB card and works great! It took about 10 minutes to sync about 4 GB of music on it, not sure if thats good but works fine for me. Its very convenient for my use because I am using this so I can use my Blackberry Pearl 8110 as a thumb drive. Very compact and doesn't get in the way. My only gripe is that the only way the card locks in is by making a slight "click" no spring loaded action, and I feel like I have to be very careful taking the card out. But still great price for a great product.

Customer Review: Kingston MicroSDHC adapter.
Summary: 5 Stars

Works great More robust than some I've seen. the card is surrounded by metal when inserted into the inner carrier. I had plastic cover shall for protection, but you need to remove it to insert into machine.Probably the smallest sized usb flash drive currently on the market. Compatible with the Kingston 4Gb SD and 16 Gb SDHC microSD cards as well. I've considered removing the plastic shell as I am fairly careful with them, and the crd is pretty well protected anyway. When it's in my machine it only protrudes about 1/2in from teh side.

Customer Review: Snug fit, but hey--it works
Summary: 5 Stars

I've noticed a few people mention that it's really tough to take the microSD out of this reader. Yes, it's true--I've messed up a few of my fingernails getting it out. But, truth-be-told, after taking it out about 4-5x, it loosens up enough that it no longer becomes a problem. Solid construction, nice retractable form, high recommendations. Wish it came with the microSD card though... I gave mine away, bought another microSD 4gb card thinking that it'd come with another reader... but now I have to get a replacement reader...

Customer Review: more like an expandable flash drive than a card reader
Summary: 5 Stars

it read my 4GB SDHC card with no problems. I bought it because of its size and it doesn't dissapoint. It fits in any USB enabled nook you can find. Since the micro SD cards are so small they are hard to take out of the reader (easy to put in). Ultimately I just leave a 4GB micro SD card in it and use it as a flash drive unless I need to read a card used elsewhere (because the cards are hard to take out). It serves it's purpose well and hopefully people won't find a reason to shrink memory cards much more than they are. :o)

Customer Review: Keep It Simple Stupid
Summary: 5 Stars

This lil thing is cheap and great. It is indeed very small. You will need some form of a finger nail to get your card out; otherwise you could remove it with a small standard screwdriver. However, contrary to some of the other reviews: it seems nearly physically impossible to "break" your flash card when pulling it out. It is completely safe. Just the idea that the card may break when pulling it out is somewhat ludicrous. Perhaps that idea comes from the fact that the card is just tiny in general. Great small, cheap product!
