Customer Review: Good little flash drive

I am a college teacher so I use multiple classrooms, and also need to prep at home or in my office. I've been using USB flash drives heavily for the last few years. Security is an issue since I keep grades on them. I chose these because they were cheap, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they included a way to secure the data.
I purchased a pair (two different colors) which makes it easy to tell them apart. I added a 'lanyard' socket to the little holes in the metal swiveling shield (from another vendor's USB flash drive when they used to provide these). It then clips onto the lanyard on my bookbag, and I don't tend to lose it. Mine came with 'SecureTraveler' software which allows you to setup a 'Privacy Zone' (requires a password). Unfortunately, it is not supported by the manufacturer on this drive, and it is a bit flaky. Kinda strange since it was loaded onto the drive from the factory. Other than that, it is fast enough for most things, small, strong, and seems to do the job.
I recommend creating a text file with your name on it at the root level of the drive to help identify who it belongs to. You can add contact info in the text file, and possibly reward info if you keep valuable info on it. You should also back up (or sync it) to somewhere save frequently since they can still run away.
