Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Mini Microphone for iPhone 3G/iPod/touch/classicCustomer Review: other options for voip calls Summary: 3 Stars
If you're looking for a microphone to use with your iPod to make Skype or other voip calls, any headset that includes a mic will works also. I use Brand New OEM (Original) 3.5mm STEREO Hands-free Headset for RIM Blackberry 9530 STORM (by Verizon Wireless ) , but any 3.5 mm headset with mic (including the iPhone headsets) will work. (Be sure to get a 3.5 mm headset for the iPod Touch 2G/3G - some phone headsets are 2.5). Plug in and call.
Customer Review: ipod mic Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this little mic to turn my newly purchased ipod classic into a voice recorder. It works surprisingly well. Good sound, small convenient size to fit right in the pouch with my ipod and very inexpensive. Great deal. I tried out whether I could record from the other side of a room and although it doesn't function like a high end mic, I could still hear the recording. Haven't tried it for lectures, but I think that it would work if there wasn't a lot of background noise and the speaker had on a mic. Definitely worth the price
Customer Review: doesnt work with env touch Summary: 3 Stars
after testing i have a new view of this thing!
It DOES NOT WORK WITH THE ENV TOUCH
the reason is when you plug anything into the 1/8th input on the phone. the phone see's that you have something plugged in and thinks your using a headset "speaker and mic" so it disables the factory speaker in the phone and uses the speaker on the headset. since this is only a mic and does not have a speaker on it you cannot hear anything. when you are in a call the other person can hear you but you cannot hear anything.
Customer Review: probably better products out there Summary: 2 Stars
I bought three of these. One didn't work, it had pops and clicks in the audio. The other two worked fine. However, the design is poor, because it has no cover to keep debris out of the recording holes (the cap covers the plug, not the mic itself). Thus, there is no way to cover and protect the mic from exposure to everything, which will inevitably (and probably quickly) degrade its performance at best. This is important if you want to leave it plugged into you device and carry the device in your pocket.
Customer Review: mini microphone Summary: 3 Stars
i bought this microphone because I wanted it to use for my itouch so I can use programs like skype. i did and it worked. But when you have this in, then you cant hear anything because the ipod thinks that you are hearing out of the microphone even though you are not. Even if you dont understand what I am saying, my point is, you wont be able to hear anything. The only thing you can do is keep on putting it in the ipod when you wanna talk, and taking it out when you wanna listen to something or someone.
