I bought this in hopes to reduce my computer time and not to forget. I have 4 kids and I like to keep a journal on new things they are now doing. This is a way for me to quickly get my info down on my Touch and then send it to my computer in Text -30 sec. at a time. (Then to later put it into my journal)
This does not catch every word, but close. I am really happy with this product and because my ear canals are small, the headphone that are very popular do not stay in my ears. So this is perfect for me!
I do like that it is small, but it is then also easy to misplace, Therefore I put a key chain holder on the cap part- My only issue is that you do need to remove the mic in order to hear it on your Touch/iPhone.

When I purchased this product for $0.01 I decided that if it simply worked I would be happy with it. It does work, and well. I use it with my iPod touch 2G using the native voice recording program. It can also be used to with the iPhone, but I don't know why you would want to, as the sound quality is not really any better than the built in mic.
The sound quality is good, comparable or a little better than voice recordings from cell phones. If you are looking for something with a lot of range and a really strong pickup, then you will probably need to invest in one of the bigger more expensive mics, but if you just want to record lectures (what I use it for) or voice notes, or even an interview, this product is perfect.

I recently purchased an ipod nano 4G so it does not have the built in microphone that the newly released nano 5G has. This microphone works perfectly with my nano and is very easy to use. Since the nano has the recording feature built into it, once the microphone is attached, you immediately have the ability to record. For being such a tiny microphone and for a product that I paid under $10, I didn't have very high expectations for it. However, this tiny microphone performs very well and I am very pleased with my purchase. The sound quality has some background noise, but it gets the job done. For the price and ease of use, I highly recommend this for anyone looking to use the recording feature on their nano 4G.Customer Review: Best for lectures

If you are like me and have professors that talk a million miles per minute this would be the best for you.; also for those days in class when you don't feel your best or your mind is wondering all over the place this is the a great product for you......
At first I was a little skeptical about buying it because it was so cheap, but it is the BEST thing that I have purchased to help me with recording my lectures. I just plug in into my iTouch 3rd gen....and I am good to go. I would recommend this for any graduate student, students that take night classes (often tired from work) and full college students...
Try it, won't miss a single word in lecture anymore.....

Works good. Wife uses it for developing an iphone app that listens to microphone and analyzes sound for musical notes. This microphone has been working good for all the tests she does. One complaint is that, her ipod touch has Premium Black Folio Wallet Leather Case. Microphone is too wide to fit while the ipod touch is inside the case. This microphone can be used by forcing it a little, but she does not want to break the microphone or her ipod. So, she takes the ipod out to use it with this microphone.
Other than this, microphone itself works great.
