It's good sound quality whenever you speak into them. however the only problem is that you can't hear through it. You need to unplug them to hear anything. But great for memos and some apps. If you want to beable to hear yourself and also have good quality sound. then you should buy Iphone headphone which allows you to hear yourself and also talk into it. i looked for a microphone that would work for my ipod classic 160 GB and chose this one primarily because the seller stated that it would work with the ipod classic (120GB).
Well, it does not. Normally, if you plug in a microphone (I had a Griffin before), the ipod goes straight to the voice recording option.
Plugging in this thing, the voice recording option does not show up on the ipod menu at all.

Just received this today. Nice and small. Works well with my I-Pod Touch. I like that it has the cover for the prong connector. Very small hole to attach a cord/thread/something to the top so that it can be attached to the I Pod Case. Took quite a while for the delivery, but it is here now. Absolutely could not beat the price. Got one for myself and for my wife. Good company with great prices.Customer Review: Perfect!

Took a little while to arrive but it was under $3 and free shipping which made up for it. This is a great little microphone, it does exactly what it says & records really well it's for memo taking not record studio quality I mean it is for the iPod after all but it really records better than some $40 recorders & picks up at a good amount of distance. Not only is this thing huge and unsightly but there is no redeeming factor for it in audio quality. You're better off getting an earphone mic. This unit will also block your ability to play music from the speaker while plugged in. My advice: DO NOT PURCHASE!
