Customer Review: Doesn't fit most European plugs

I can't claim to have personally tried every single outlet in Europe, but I can tell you that the majority of European plugs are recessed: that is, the actual socket into which the plug prongs go is set into a little round hole about half an inch deep. This adapter does not fit into that recess, and is therefore useless. I found this out the hard way in both Holland and the Czech Republic, and great was the wailing and lamentation on both occasions.
You can use this with an extender built for the purpose (see the Simran Plug Adapter on this site for an example), but if you're doing that, why not just get an adapter that fits in the first place?

I bought three of these for a European trip this summer. They are incredibly poorly made, and only work intermittently in UK outlets. Often one would have to only partially insert the plug into the outlet to get it to turn on. One of the three adapters did not work at all, and the second one literally exploded---sent out a flash and fireball when I plugged an iPhone charger into it at a hotel---destroying both the adapter and the charger (as well as freaking everybody out). The two remaining adapters worked slightly better in continental Europe, but not perfectly. Don't waste your money on these cheap adapters; buy single country adapters instead.Customer Review: Worked for a few days then shorted and blew my hotel room fuse

This adapter worked initially, but it must of had poor wiring. Sometimes I'd plug it in and the red LED would not light. Plug it in again and it worked... I was only using this with 100-240V range AC adapters for a netbook / camera charger.
After a few days it decided to short across the US side of the adapter (interesting as I was in the UK and not even able to plug in that side). It blew the fuse in our hotel room in fact (thankfully it didn't destroy the camera charger).
We ended up buying a Samsonite UK travel adapter in a WH Smith over there which works perfectly (I guess it's simpler as it only works in the UK)...

I was traveling to both London and Paris, looking for a adapter that could be space saving and act in both locations. This little contraption is awesome! It comes with a small pouch which allows me to keep it with the instructions (very handy given the number of possible plugin arrangements). And it worked in both the hotel in London and the hotel in Paris with no trouble. Perhaps the only drawback is the minimal number of plugins available on the adapter, only one item can charge at a time. Other than that small deficiency, I am 100% satisfied with this purchase and look forward to taking it to Japan with me on my next trip.Customer Review: All-in-one plug did the job for my Macbook Pro in UK

I was traveling to the UK. I needed an adapter for my U.S. Macbook Pro. I went into Apple, and was provided with their beautiful package for their Worldwide adapter for $50.00. I figured that was excessive, and hit Amazon. These things can be tricky sometimes, and I've blown out all kinds of appliances in the UK with what I thought were the right devices to do the job, and I did not want to make the same mistake with the MBP. I would have wanted to be more assured that this was the correct product, but took the risk. When I plugged in to the UK outlet I was very relieved to see the green light come on.
