Customer Review: For me, these are almost perfect.

I have always had trouble getting earbuds to fit, let alone sound good. I must own at least a dozen different pairs and have never found any that I have been satisfied with. I have been using a pair of Sennheiser MX75 Sport for the past couple of years because they can be wedged into the ear canal and held relatively snugly in place - but the stiff non flexible cable is a major shortcoming. On a whim I decided to try again, this time buying a pair of Kicker EB101s.
The first thing I noticed was the fit. These earbuds fit me perfectly. The length is such that I can wedge the earbud between my ear canal and the back of my ear and it will remain snugly in place, comfortable and not too tight with the added bonus of cutting out a lot of outside noise. There are many times when I am exercising and listening to music that I don't even realize that I have these earbuds in place. The next thing that caught my eye was the cable. Unlike the Sennheiser cable which is like stiff coiled wire, the cable on the Kickers is limp like a shoe string - talk about one extreme to the other. Finally with regards to the sound, in my opinion the Kickers produce clean crisp sound and for such small speakers, very good bass. The only nit I have to pic (which is the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating) is the jack. I would have preferred an "L" shape jack instead of a straight jack but if that's the only issue, it's minor.
I have owned my set of Kickers for a couple of months now but did not want to comment on or review them until I gave them a fair audition and had some experience with them. In the meantime I have read the other reviews and some of them allege that a few of the reviews may be unfairly biased. I can assure you that I have no affiliation with Kicker or any other electronics outlet and my review is based solely on my experience. In fact, I am a 65 year old retiree that was looking for a pair of earbuds that fit, sounded good, and were reasonably priced. I find the Kicker EB101s fit those criteria perfectly and when I combine them with my Zune HD, I am more than satisfied. If you get a pair, I hope you will be as happy with them as I am.
