Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Kensington K33902US Bluetooth USB Micro AdapterCustomer Review: Add a bluetooth mouse and printer to your older laptop Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this device because I started to accumulate bluetooth compatible products without being able to use them on slightly older products. It is being used in a Dell D410 laptop to print over bluetooth and use a bluetooth mouse with one small dongle.
It sticks out a little more than I would have liked, but it is not a deal breaker. The bluetooth devices paired easily and I have not encountered any background processes stealing more resources than necessary, and no degradation in speed. It connects to a Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000 and an HP Photosmart Premium (c309g).
Customer Review: Hard to get it work with win 7 Summary: 2 Stars
I like this device half to half i have to say it connects my phone flawlessly with either windows 7 driver and Broadcomm v6.2.0.9700 however it doesn't apply with headsets headset won't work. also i try to connect it to my headsets it was able connect with the software in the cd and it able to pair and connect with skype but the skype will only let me hear but mic is not working and it only work once upon restart computer and it won't work anymore after that anymore until restart computer. so to those with windows 7, pass this item and go buy something else that will work better with win 7.
Customer Review: Works better than some other bluetooth adpaters Summary: 4 Stars
When I plugged it in to my Windows 7 box, it recognized the adapter and installed the drivers, but it wouldn't detect any devices. I reluctantly installed the Toshiba Bluetooth stack and found that it was not as bad as I had heard. I didn't have any problems with it dropping the connection with my phone like my last Bluetooth adapter would do, and it wasn't too much of a resource hog. It doesn't have as much range as my last adapter, but the difference isn't as great as I would have expected given that the old one was class 1 and this is class 2 (certainly not 10 times).
Customer Review: tiny toot Summary: 4 Stars
very tiny, you barely know it is there .. as far as functionality ... outstanding. it took me seconds to install and connect to my phone (HTC Touch) for the purpose that i bought it, it seemingly works perfect. i dont know bout the range, but i dont think it be expected to be controlled from more than a few feet away anyways.
one tiny detail I forgot .... i bought it from circuit city for 19.99. now i am thinking of getting a few mor and create a network between my computers (1 desktop, 3 laptops) but i need to do some research on it first.
Customer Review: Good Bluetooth for Linux Mint/Ubuntu Karmic Summary: 5 Stars
I was a little nervous about this, since Bluetooth support in Linux is sketchy. My goal here was to be able to use Skype and other conferencing/SIP solutions with my Bluetooth headset, and still be paired with my phone. I was stoked to find that this little thing worked out-of-box with Linux Mint Helena (based on Ubuntu 9.10), no driver install necessary, no mucking about on the command line - it Just Worked. I very quickly paired my headset, switched audio input/outputs, tested Skype and found that to my relief everything works great.
