Customer Review: Hit or Miss

I own two of these now, one for each of our cars. We've had one of them for almost exactly a year now, and it's still doing a great job. The other one we ordered back in March 2010, and it broke this week -- it no longer latches and the sides slide open without the release button being pressed.
Unfortunately, the return window has passed on the item, so I'm considering purchasing another unit as a replacement. Currently batting .500 on this product, let's hope the third one purchased improves the average.

I must say I was quite impressed with the quality of the mount. I saw the same product at the apple store for $45! Same exact one! So it was also a good bargain! Installation was easy and usage is as well. I love the fact that you can easily mold the mast around yet its very firm so it does not flop around when the car is moving. Tho if your car shakes a little you might find it hard to read but other than that, excellent product.

I looked a long time before deciding on this windshield mount. I'm satisfied with the quality of material and construction. The quick release is a great innovation that I learned to value quickly. The suction cup never disengages and it's easy to clamp on. The long arm can be cumbersome in some situations, but I value that I can apply it any place on the windshield and it doesn't impair vision. I hesitated at the price, but now feel it's worth the extra cost. No down sides here.Customer Review: Great item, well thought out.

The arm is very flexible and is very solid. The arm does shake (this does depend on the shape that the arm is bent into) but it is manageable.
Definitely do not try to text with your phone in this thing, it really isn't safe. It is great for GPS, music, and getting your phone out of the way so it does not distract you by making you look down.
Reasonable price, but if they got it down to sub $20 they would sell more probably.

i bought this to hold my iPhone in the car. The problem is the release button. It is in a bad location and is hard to press. the way the iPhone sits in the mount means that you need to put a lot of pressure on the iPhone screen. and it is almost impossible to press the button down without bracing a finger on the front of the mount (where the iPhone screen would be). it would be a great product for a regular iPod, but not an iPhone or iPod Touch.
