Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Kensington 33374 Wireless Presenter with Laser PointerCustomer Review: Amazing Power Summary: 5 Stars
The Kensington has smooth operation and from a very good distance. We use it at our church for our Sunday morning Powerpoint, and we actually can be quite a distance and still have its' power travel through the congregation to get to the computer to advance the slides. It is ten times better than our previous wireless presenter. We don't use the laser on it as of now, so I can't attest to its' use. Its' ergonomical design is wonderful to have in your hand for the entire Worship service. Also, the self-storage of the USB connection is handy in that it does not become detatched or have to be kept in a bag to be kept together. I do highly reccommend the Kensington 33374 Wireless Presenter.
Customer Review: Best laptop accessory I've bought! Summary: 5 Stars
I lead group singing for a kids' Bible Club in my church. Tired of song lyrics hand-printed on poster board, I put the songs I commonly use on Powerpoint when the church installed a computer projector. This worked fine as long as I had a kid I could depend on to be at every meeting who wasn't embarrassed to sit at my laptop in front of the group to change the slides for me ( since I am playing the guitar, I can't change them myself ). When I saw this remote, I knew I had to have one. Now I just give the remote to another adult, who remotely changes the slides for me from their seat near the back of the room. It works great! NO problems whatsoever, and a great deal for the price.
Customer Review: Love it except for one little glitch Summary: 4 Stars
I love my new Kensington Pointer! I use Powerpoint in my class frequently and it certainly makes a difference. I am no longer glued to my computer; I can walk around the room or just across the front with ease. The little glitch occurred during presentations in my EDS class. I had just used it and my professor had used it but the next person to use it, it would not advance the slides. I wiggled the batteries a bit and it was OK again and I have used it in my classroom since this happened with no problem. I am not certain what the problem was since it came with new Energizer AAA's. I do hope it will not be an ongoing issue! If so, I will expect a replacement.
Customer Review: Kensington 33374... Don't waste your money! Summary: 2 Stars
The Kensington 33374 looks very high-tech and is easily installed but lacks in some very important areas. First off, I present to large groups of people and do not like to stand in one spot when I present. The Kensington will not change the slides on the laptop if you are more than 20 feet away or if there is obstructions between myself and the USB plug in. The pointer also projects a very small red dot, which is almost impossible to see from further distances. I recommend the PowerPresenter from StreetSmart. It is a little bit more expensive but has been worth every penny. The slides will change every time whether I am 10 feet away or 110 feet away.
Customer Review: A wonderful, ergonomic device!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a simple and easy device to use. No more running back to your computers to advance the slides!
When it arrived, we opened the box, took it out, put the batteries in (it even came with batteries) plugged in the USB receiver....and then it worked. TADA! It was that easy.
It is great with the button to blackout the screen, the button for the laser pointer, and back and forth arrows. It advances slides in both the Powerpoint presentation mode as well as non-presentation mode.
It is nicely weighted and fits comfortably in the hand. I encourage everyone to get one of these who has to give presentations!
