Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Kensington 33365 Pico FM Transmitter for iPod 5G and Nano (Black)

Customer Review: Works best in less dense cities
Summary: 4 Stars

Works very well, but works best in low density areas. I live near NYC so reception is spotty. But, when it works, it works. I bought it mainly for long distance travel in areas with few good stations, so it should suit my needs. Also very easy to set up and use. Pop it on the ipod and set 3 stations and you are good to go.

I would give it 5 stars if the reception could be improved.

Customer Review: Decent, but not great
Summary: 3 Stars

It eats the battery (I should have gone with a powered transmitter, and likely will buy one in the future), but it works. As a result, it does not transmit the signal strongly to the selected channel (which means you have to keep it almost on top of the antenna source), and if it does, it is not as pure as others I have seen and tried. But for the price, it is a good item.

Customer Review: I like it
Summary: 5 Stars

So far i've really enjoyed this thing. It works really well. I think the range depends largely on the radio you're using it on. In our van, you can take it to the back seat and get a perfectly clear signal, but on the reciever in my house it has to be sitting right on top to get any signal at all. I live in Arizona, and so far 102.9 has been the best for me.

Customer Review: the pico
Summary: 3 Stars

Well... it doesn't work that well, my friends, so good luck. It DOES work, but better in remote areas, in the back seat (near the antennae) and with the volume turned WAY up. You'll still get static, and, at least I've found, interruptions from various vague radio signals. I have also noticed that it works a lot better in my brothers car for some reason.

Customer Review: Doesn't work in Seattle area
Summary: 1 Stars

I could not get this to work (Seattle area), and I tried numerous scenarios (car, home stereo, jam box, etc.). Back to the dreaded cassette adapter, which works but is a pain due to the wire.

Might be asking Santa for a more integrated car adapter...

Or perhaps the big iPod Hi-Fi system could be dashboard mounted? :-)
