Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Kensington 33169 Digital FM Radio and Transmitter for iPods

Customer Review: Very nice, but still sounds like FM
Summary: 4 Stars

I picked up a couple of these when they were in the Gold Box, and have been pretty happy with the performance.

Setup was a breeze, and the range is top-notch. The only drawback is that it still sounds like you're using an FM transmitter, so there is noticible loss in fidelity when you're using the transmitter on a nice stereo system. But for things like audiobooks, it isn't anything to be concerned about.

The FM radio seems to work pretty well, too.

Customer Review: Good Product
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this transmitter for my fiance for Christmas and he seems to enjoy it! I think he enjoys it because he can play the music he wants to hear with out skipping through one CD just to hear one or two songs, or having to deal with the radio stations when they just play the same songs over and over. The only down side I see to this product is that you can't turn the volume up loud as you want. Some songs play louder than others. But over all, its a good product.

Customer Review: Works better than itrip
Summary: 4 Stars

I used to have an iTrip with my 60 gig photo iPod, which worked decently, but once I purchased the new 80 gig video iPod, I had to purchase a new iTrip, to my dissatisfaction, the iTrip didn't work well, it didn't even power on most of the time. But, this product works flawlessly as a transmitter, and with little problems as a radio. The product uses your headphones as an antenna, so the better your headphones, the better the signal the product will receive.

Customer Review: Don't bother
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this as a Deal of the Day item and didn't pay very much for it. I still sent it back because its FM transmission to the car radio was so bad. I tried every FM channel on my car radio and still got an unacceptable level of static and noise -- and I don't really get hung up about sound quality. Never tried it as an FM receiver. I only wanted it to play my ipod songs and podcasts on the car radio. Even at half price this was not worth it.

Customer Review: I am Happy.
Summary: 4 Stars

I live on an island and although my cell phone stinks sometimes with reception. I have not had a bad experience with this product yet! I would definitely recommend this product. My music sounds great in my car (and I would guess that depends on what kind of setup your car has as far as speakers). The only downside was getting the product because it wasn't possible to ship it to the island so I had to wait longer for someone to send it to me.
