I have tried other ultrasonic humidifiers, and have been frustrated with the white dust they leave on furniture. This one does not leave that nasty film! Some reviews mentioned the buzzing noise this product makes, I like the slight buzzing and bubbling. You can pay over $100.00 for other ultrasonic humidifiers, but why? We tried 3 humidifiers for our baby, and this was the best. It's quiet, and the tank is big. You can get two night's use out of a single filling. I also like being able to control the amount and direction of the water vapor. The only downside is having to clean the tank and base on a regular basis (a small price to pay when your baby has cold).Customer Review: SMELLS---YUCK!

I bought this humidifier at the suggestion of a pharmacist. By the second night of using it, it had the weirdest smell, and considering I was using it during pregnancy and after baby was born, I DID'T want to take any chances that the odor could be a hazard. It works, but it has the strangest smell---and no-one knows what it is! SCARY!!!!Customer Review: Looks Good, Needs A Lot of Attention

Brought this home and immediately there are problems: it will only work if the unit is tilted. So I put a napkin folded up under one side it works..but seems a little silly. There is some sensor in there that needs to be in contact with water and somehow mine only works with the "leaning tower" approach..avoid this one!Customer Review: WHITE DUST

WE THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT UNTIL WE STARTED NOTICING WHITE DUST ON EVERYTHING. WE CHANGED THE FILTER, BUT THAT DIDN'T HELP, AND WE'VE BEEN USING SOFT DISTILLED WATER. WE'VE GOT TO GET A DIFFERENT ONE! I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS HUMIDIFIER UNLESS YOU WANT TO DUST OFF WHITE DUST OFF EVERYTHING EVERYDAY - NO FUN.
