Customer Review: On a laptop

I got this magnifier for a client who is visually impaired and trying to learn to use a computer. We tried the built in magnifier in Windows, but found it difficult to keep track of where on a page he was looking. While this screen was designed for a monitor, it will work on a laptop monitor as well though it does cover the power button and some of the keys but we also got him a high contrast keyboard so that was not a problem.
One difficulty with using it on a laptop is keeping it in place as it does not hang from the monitor as it was designed to do. Another is light. He needs to have the keyboard well lit and the glare from the light reflects off the screen, but he can position it so it works for him. It doesn't work so well with me looking at it from the side as I help him.
If you need a bigger screen and don't want to spring for a bigger monitor, this is a pretty good solution.
