Evidently some folks have trouble with this unit and some have not, and I would identify with the later group. I found it an excellent replacement for my previous model. I have the receiver and transmitter fairly close together, but the signal goes through a steel reinforced cinder block wall. I have not had any problem getting the chime to go off when the bell is pressed, and have not found anyone who pressed the bell too lightly for it to work. Seems pretty good to me.

I have been using this bell a while longer now, and have noticed a few people who pressed this bell too lightly for it to work, unlike at the time of my earlier review. This would make my new rating 4 stars if possible. The front transmitted has a little LED light that comes on when pressed correctly, but, since I use this bell at our drive-up window, most people can't see the light since their hands and knuckles get in the way. Still, it works pretty good.

The Sunnybell wireless door chime ST66 is white-colored. It transmits signals as far as 300 feet, the signals can pass through doors, walls and etc. The coded receiver has 64 selectable channels to avoid any possible interference from other sources. The door chime (receiver) runs on 3 pieces of C-size batteries which are not included. Pushbutton (transmitter) runs on a 12v battery which is included and can last for as long as 1 year.
