I have a saint bernard and this works great. We bought it to train her to stop barking all the time and it has done it's job. It only took a couple of times and she got the idea. Now we just have to say no and she stops.Customer Review: It works.

As you can see from the many review, it works for some animals, not for others.
I have 3 dogs, all small 7 pounders, and they all go nuts everytime somebody comes to the door or into the house.
Of my 3 dogs, it is very effective on 2 of them, however, the 3rd pays no attention at all. I don't know if she hears it at all.
Either way, the noise is substantially reduced, and it's easier to get her to stop barking on her own than it is when they're all exciting each other.
P.S. I did see one reviewer state that the dogs it bothered, or scared, were only scared because of the new noise and once the novelty wore off they would start ignoring it. I don't see that at all. I've had it a few months, and whenever I get it out, the 2 who don't like it shut up immediately.

Bought this device to stop an annoying dog next door from barking all night long. Absolutely nothing happens when you push the big grey button, except your finger gets tired. Before you buy one email me and you can have mine. The only way the Dog Dazer will protect you from an aggressive dog is if you throw the Dazer at him and hit him between the eyes ! Summary: Electronic Snake Oil ! Buyer Beware
