I bought 3 of these to take to Italy and use for printer, cellphone chargers, and PCs. I had read up on transformers and what devices they should be used for. (suggested for PC, small electronic chargers like cellphones, printers, etc.) I was reassured by the manufacturer info that neither the PC nor the MAC really needed the converter, but I decided to be extra cautious. I bought an Italian surge protector (5 openings) and plugged all three of them in. The ones with my printer and MAC were in use most of the time, the third, not much at all. After 5 weeks, the one my MAC was using died. So I plugged the MAC into another. Then IT died too within 24 hours. Now I only have one left--and 10 more months in Italy. Disappointing!
