Customer Review: Awesome. Best hands-free bluetooth ever made
Summary: 5 Stars

Buy this. Stop shopping around and wasting your time, just buy this.

This device is worth twice as much as any other supposed hands-free bluetooth device. It pairs easily, works reliable, never 'forgets' a pairing. It's the loudest I've seen (but could still be louder, I suppose). My wife and I each have one that we use with our iPhones, and have had 0 complaints. I can even use it in my convertible with the top down at low speeds. Nothing works on the highway.

It's cool that it will power itself down 15 minutes after the last pairing, so you don't have to remember to shut it off when you leave your car.

It's slender and attractive, unlike bulky competitors.

I've bought and returned the Parrot and Motorola devices before finding this one. Night and day difference.

Customer Review: jabra sp5050
Summary: 3 Stars

Have been using this product for a little over a month now on a daily basis on my 20 mile round trip commute.

Overall I would rate this product good...sound quality from the speaker is OK on my end but rated as very good by callers. Ease of use is as advertised and the unit is discrete and well designed. Syncing couldn't be easier and the auto off function is a nice feature.

The cons are that the volume could be higher. I have a good sound proofed SUV, but even then I find the volume from the device even at max to be 20% lower than I would like.

Overall the product is good and worth what I paid for it, but the sheer issue of the volume limitation will probably result in me buying an in ear headset, which I was trying so desperately to avoid.

Customer Review: Not as great as was predicted
Summary: 2 Stars

Based on the glowing reviews I read on the product I was really expecting a useful solution to the California ban on cellphone use unless hands free.

My two problems were...

1. Even with the volume controls at maximum on both my cellphone and the Jabra, the volume coming out of the unit's tiny speaker is very low. I find myself leaning nearer to the sun-visor to hear it.. hardly safer than using the cellphone directly! The car, A Mercedes Benz CLK, is hardly a noisy environment!

2. Not a major issue but the dark plastic over the led indicators makes them very hard to see in bright daylight. The dimmer, night driving option, would never be used.

Bottom line is that I regret buying the thing and am looking for a replacement.

Customer Review: Excellent speaker phone for the car
Summary: 4 Stars

Excellent speaker phone. Pairing with a Razr was a snap, and I've had no issues with the level of volume that some others have complained about. And best of all, you don't have to walk around looking like a dork with one of those goofy earpieces hanging off the side of your head.

The one negative is that the Jabra, like many other Bluetooth speaker phones, doesn't come with a wall charger, only one for the car, which I find inconvenient and clunky. I solved that problem by purchasing a PowerLine 12-volt DC-AC Power Socket right here at Amazon for $11.08. It performs very well. Though I wish there were a wall charger included with the Jabra, it wasn't a deal-breaker for me. For the money, this speaker phone has met all my expectations.

Customer Review: Not bad if you don't leave the city streets
Summary: 2 Stars

Living in California with the new handsfree law in effect as of 7/1 I had to get something I hated the idea of an earpiece so found this at a local store. It sounds fine, loud and clear on a city street. Get on the freeway and people can hear you but you can no longer hear them, very frustrating. I have found myself holding the speaker to my ear to hear the conversation and it's only 18 inches away on my visor! if you are looking for something for quick calls it's not a bad buy, but if you are going to have a conversation it's not the product to buy. The few pros on the product easy to sync, buttons easy to find, charge lasts for days. However it only charges in car and the cord is short, charge before using.
