Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating Earbuds (Black/Chrome Silver)Customer Review: Better out there Summary: 2 Stars
The best thing about these are the looks. For the price there are better out there. The sound quality is ok. The cord creates noise that you can hear through the ear buds so its not good for use in the gym when jogging, not as bad as others out there but its noticeable. The comfort was not as good as I had hope. I have small ears and the smallest size was still a little uncomfortable for me. They also don't seem to stay in the ears as well as I like. They come out of my ear every now and then. My old ear buds never did that. I have also emailed their customer support and from the response its obvious they didn't read my email and just sent a standard reply so I tried another email address and did not receive a response from them. So I took a star off for customer service. Better than your standard Apple white ear buds but no reason to get these over other similar priced ear buds unless you like the colors.
Customer Review: J2 buds and customer service Summary: 5 Stars
My wife and I each ordered a pair of the J2 buds for ourselves. When we received them, we were very pleased with the product. They came with different interchangeable tips to fit various ear sizes, which is a great feature. We are not audiophiles but the sound produced by these buds was fantastic compared to something you would buy at a place like Wal-Mart for the same price.
After two weeks one side of my wife's buds quit working. She was distressed as she used her buds frequently and loved them. She wrote an email to Jlabs Audio and they sent her a new set with no problems or hassle. She got them in the mail just a couple days after sending her initial email. This says a lot about their company. They stand by their product and have great customer service.
I will be buying from Jlabs again and would not hesitate to recommend their products to anyone.
Customer Review: Very happy! Summary: 5 Stars
I have to ride the bus to and from work and was first attracted by the "noise isolating" aspect in the description. I was using my headphones that came with my iPod Touch and have to say that the sound quality on these headphones blows them away. Rich vocals, nice treble and bass registers. You would be hard pressed to find a better ear bud for the price. Highly recommended!
As a follow up, let me say that I was experiencing a problem with my right earbud shorting out on me. I contacted their customer service and they immediately sent me a replacement pair which are working fantastic. While I was waiting, I had to listen to my iPod with the original headphones that came with it - ugh. Suckage! These headphones sound fantastic and you can't find a better value for your money.
Now I'm tempted to try the J3's! Please don't hesitate to try out these headphones.
Customer Review: JBuds J2 Premium Hi-FI... Summary: 3 Stars
These earbuds are ok. I bought them because they apparently were on sale. If it weren't for the sale price and I actually paid the full retail/original price I think I would give this a poor rating. I'm debating whether or not the Skullcandies that I purchased for under $20 sound better or worse and it is hard to tell. There is no volume control on the J2 pairs that I purchased (I bought two at once because I'm hard on headphones and like to alternate) and one earpiece is slightly louder than the other. Oddly enough, on the first pair the left bud is louder, and on the second pair the right bud is. However the sound is not terrible, the color schemes are nice, the chord length is sufficient, they come with multiple earbud sizes (cushions) and they do quite the job when it comes to noise isolation. So yes, these are not "premium" but as stated before, they're ok.
Customer Review: good earbuds, better customer service Summary: 4 Stars
Bought my Jbuds last month and last week the left earbud died on me. I emailed Jlabs support, and their response was simply great. They sent me a brand new replacement pair, without asking for shipping or the old ones back. Sound quality is pretty good, the burn-in period does improve the sound somewhat, but don't expect amazing quality. They are good for the price and very comfortable with good noise insulation. Best reason to get these is for the fact that if they do die or whatever, you'll be taken care of by great customer service.
Update 1/18/10: well, I don't know what it is but the replacement pair that I received has flaked out and died on me. I'm not an abuser of headphones so maybe it's bad luck. Either way I'm buying a different brand of headphones, as stated before, for the price they're fine but I'm done with them.
