Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating Earbuds (Black/Chrome Silver)Customer Review: Fairly Decent For Price Summary: 3 Stars
Got these on a $9.95 special here on Amazon via a deals site. Unfortunately the deals site was spammed by people from this company so it touted the ear buds as being the best of the best and unbeatable at this price.
Overall they are ok, they are usable and fair quality. The sound is fairly good, with decent base. I feel the treble is also good and not overly pronounced. The fit is a bit off, tried various sized buds, but they just don't fit right compared to other brands, they hurt after a while in my ears, so I will only use them on occasion.
I don't notice any "noise canceling" whatsoever, so not sure about that portion. The only way I can see it canceling noise is by plugging your ears with their large ear buds.
I would have felt better about the purchase if I felt all the reviews were legitimate and not paid or gifted enforcements.
I would still recommend them for $10 and iPod / iPhone usage for decent sound and good bass.
Customer Review: Marketing Pop - Sound crackles Summary: 1 Stars
This is a classic marketing play on words (premium, Hi-Fi, upgraded construction...) to maximize margins. I have to admit, I got sucked in to these because I thought I was getting a huge deal on them (suggested retail price $79?!) anyway - a good deal on these would be $10. $15 is pushing it. The sound quality is slightly better than the earphones that came with my iPod, but they tend to fall out easier. I definitely would not recommend these for use in the gym or jogging. I honestly couldn't discern any difference in sound quality after the recommended break in period. The sound has a tendency to come in and out and have a lot of static at minimal volume levels - like they are shorting out. I think if you are expecting a high end pair of earbuds at a significant discount you will be disappointed - save up for a high quality/fantastic sounding pair from shure or something. Embarrassed I got sucked in, but I'll keep these to use in a pinch as it's not worth my time to return them.
Customer Review: Pretty Good Earbuds Summary: 4 Stars
I just got my Jbuds yesterday and was excited to try them out. First impressions were good because they come in a cool package. Once I got them out, they made a good second impression because they seemed to be of quality construction and have a cool appearance. But now came the true test of hearing them...afterall, better sound quality is actually why most people buy aftermarket headphones. I connected them to my Sony Walkman MP3 player and listened to various music. The impression I got is that they are good.....but not awesome. They are perfectly priced at under $30 because that really is a fair price. I really would have been disappointed if I would have paid their list price of $80. The midrange sounds really nice, and the lows are adequate, but I wish these earbuds would have accentuated the highs a little more. I guess that's just my preference. Some audiophiles say that headphones need to be broken in before they deliver optimal sound quality, but I don't know.
Customer Review: solid earbud choice Summary: 4 Stars
I've had these earbuds for about 8 months and continue to be quite satisfied with them. My first in-ear pair. They isolate (but not completely) some office sounds, so it can be easier to concentrate. In fact, I sometimes put them on without anything to listen to just to get the quiet. The sound, as a result of the isolation, is quite good. In fact, I'm hearing things on music that I used to miss. The cord length is just right for me. A design suggestion for the future might be a right-angle jack (like some Sennheiser models) rather than the traditional jack, because that makes their footprint on iPods more compact. For me, the silicone tips have been durable but do tend to accumulate a bit of wax. Nothing too extreme.
For the quite-modest price, these are just right. There are such an overwhelming number of earbud options, and I have been so happy with these, that, if I were to lose this pair, I would likely turn right back around and buy them again.
Customer Review: Good quality buds Summary: 5 Stars
These took a while to be shipped and after a talk with customer service I was sent another package with another pair of buds! The buds are really good quality and being used to around the head design from sony i don't mind the traditional v design. The cord is a good length (slightly longer than ipod headphones)and very strudy.
Though I'm not an audiophile I know good sound. I have had the sony mdr-ex51s for a while and they were great with very good balanced sound. The other reviews are right about these however. The bass is amazing along with the low ends the only thing that lacks is the treble even though it still sounds great, it could be a little higher. The sound is still amazing and fairly well balanced. I was sceptical because of other reviews saying the sound sucked but even before breaking them in they sounded great. For the price you really can't beat them. I would definately get another pair in the future.
