Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating Earbuds (Black/Chrome Silver)Customer Review: Sounds better but broke within 40 days Summary: 2 Stars
JBuds J2 earphones sound/work really awesome. They are way better than the earphones that come as default with iPod. The noise isolation feature is okay, and the "noise isolation" is close to the feeling I had when my ears are stuffed with cotton. With the earphones on, and music off,I could even hear my breathing and foot steps when I am running on thread mill.
Overall the product is good, but the material used for construction is so cheap that, it started to malfunction in less than 40 days with 1 hour usage in commute. One of the earphones isn't working because of some loose connections in the wiring near the jack, that goes into the device. I tried it on 2-3 phones, iPod and pc but I could hear sound only on one ear and needs some sort of adjustments with the wiring to hear sound on the other. It's really frustrating to see earphones are not working as per my expectations, I will try to reach out the seller or JBuds for replacement. It could be possible that I got a defective or poorly constructed product. I will keep you posted about the details of my reach to JBuds.
Customer Review: great earbuds for the price Summary: 5 Stars
After i purchased the Jbuds and the left channel went out on them i contacted customer service on their website. It was the most pleasant return experience I've ever had. I received my replacements in 3 working days and didn't have to pay a penny for shipping. They've worked flawlessly. So I purchased the J2's and I am impressed for the price. They sounded awful when I first plugged them in, but after a 30 or so hour burn in they are spectacular. Of course you can buy better for more money but these are my favorite in this price range($15-$30). I have the V-moda's, a pair of skull candy rasta's, and a few others. I like the J2's sound and fit the best. The heavy wire is nice also. It just seems strong. And I like how the stress points are reinforced. The plug is solid and is easy to grab. They never fall out of my ears, even when sweating. I'm a roofer so they've taken some abuse. But my main praise is of the customer service and that has become the most important thing to me. No product is ever perfect but a company who stands behind theirs will continue to recieve my business.
Customer Review: Decent basic ear-phone Summary: 4 Stars
Sound quality seems pretty normal for an in-ear headphone, but I am not the best person to rate it as I primarily use earphones for audio books. I bought these so that I could hear audio books more clearly in cars, buses, planes, etc. They do not lower the ambient noise as much as I had hoped, but they do better than standard ear phones. I have not used them on a plane yet, but I expect I would be somewhat disappointed. They have worked well in cars and buses. I find them very comfortable, but I have a large ear canal. My wife has a small ear canal, she cannot insert them fully into her ears without the leading corner of the earphone pressing against the edge of her ear. The cord is the right length if your source device is on your person, but a little limiting if your source device is a laptop, etc sitting at a desk or in a car. The physical design is well though out. The plug end is very skinny so it is less likely to interfere with other connectors on today's compact mp3 players. the wire has strain reliefs at the connector, at the headphones, and at the wye.
Customer Review: Little buds packs a punch! Summary: 5 Stars
I've had these buds for over 3 months, and I can easily admit that these are the best ear buds I've ever purchased, in terms of price and quality of course. The durability of the wires are fantastic too! After having it dragged, tripped, and sometimes caught on a hook, it still works fine. Sound quality is pretty nice too with a good bass and and decent volume, just remember to burn it up first before leaving 1 star reviews!
Of course, I wouldn't say it's a perfect product either. The "J2" and "JBUDS" logo printed on the buds are almost completely worn off after moderate-heavy use. Another problem ear buds in general is that you'll tend to see some ear wax lying inside the rubber cups. I just hope the users aren't the sharing type, blegh! Of course, these are just minor gripes and shouldn't really have an impact on your decision for purchase. :)
In conclusion, I recommend this as a cheap alternative for those who wants a good sound but can't afford to spend much. As of now I'm considering of ordering another pair~!
Customer Review: Not very insulated Summary: 2 Stars
I admit I'm no audiophile, but I live in my earbuds. I listen to audio books while walking, doing chores and knitting, and since this is what I do 90% of the time, I tend to have my mp3 player always within arm's reach. I switched to this brand from my usual to see if I liked them more and if they lasted longer, but they aren't as comfortable and I've noticed that static electricity has suddenly become a major concern. When I tuck my son in at night I usually have one earbud in with the book going (so I can hear him while still halfway listening to my book) and I noticed that my earbuds would emit a harsh noise, then my mp3 player would reset. I also noticed loud pops when putting on my coat and hat. I never noticed that with my old brand (Skull Candy), after three years of use (and many sets of earbuds by that brand, I wear them out quickly through so much use.) I don't like having to make sure not to be wearing my earbuds while doing things where static is a concern, I'm worried that this brand might lead to damage to my mp3 player.
