Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating Earbuds (Black/Chrome Silver)Customer Review: Did I get a defective unit... Summary: 3 Stars
Bought it because of the above satisfactory reviews.
Came in a frustration, nature-friendly packaging.
Read the manuals. Played contiuous music for 24 hours as "burn time" as instructed.
Used it and it sounded average. I do not consider myself an audiophile, but I do carry and use my iPod everywhere; gym, home, school, library, and etc. And as a background and comparison, I have owned generic iPod earphones, high-end Sony headphone, and a Zune premium earbud.
Like I have said, sound quality seemed average even after few weeks of constant use. The biggest issue however is the volume each song sounded; some songs played with normal volume and some in low. I have not had this issue with other ear/headphones on my iPod. This frustrates me when I go to the gym and run on the treadmill. Having to constantly adjust the volume is troublesome.
I planned on returning it (though I have thrown the frustration packaging and everything it came with it), but my brother borrowed them indefinitely without my permission and he does seem to like.
I am not saying you will get this volume issue, but if you do experience it RETURN!
Customer Review: $25 Earbuds, not $75 Earbuds Summary: 3 Stars
I gave these a try as I needed a new set of earbuds (my Shure 310s died, very dissapointed with Shure) and they were only $25 on some kinda Amazon special. I figured in a worst case scenario one of my kids could use them if I did not like them. They go thru a lot of earbuds.
Honestly I did not find anything too special about them. They sound better than the OEM earbuds that come with an iPod but not THAT much better. The bass is a bit weak and compared to the Altec Lansings that I purchased a few days later for $90, they were a definitely a big downgrade in overall sound quality.
Maybe I am a bit harsh about these as they billed themselves to be $75 headphones for $25. The AL's I purchsed for $90 were simalar to the Shure's in that they came with a nice case and the cord was wrapped in a nice woven, protective shielding that also keeps them from tangling. They J-buds come with a very cheap feeling cord.
Overall I am not overwhelmed with them. They simply seem to be about a $25 pair of earbuds. I would love to say they are the best value in earbuds but I am starting to feel more like that with my Altec's than I am with these.

JBuds J2 Premium Hi-FI Noise Isolating Earbuds (Black/Chrome Silver)
I read reviews on almost every purchase I make! Unlike Consumer Reports magazine, I appreciate the (Objective) opinions 'real' consumers write. (Thank you, long time owners who write concise reviews)!
I highly recommend the JBUD J2 ear buds: I have, less than, perfect hearing. I bought a set 8 months ago and broke them in as recommended. They have met, or exceeded, my expectations in construction quality, sound insulation & quality, comfort & value. I'm impressed with the ability for me to enjoy laptop gaming, music, etc. while my wife enjoys her favorite TV programs, in the same room! The sound balance is awesome, not too much bass, or treble. The cord isn't so long that I get tangled-up with it. I hear what I want to hear, with minimal background (outside) noise. I selected the tips that best fit my ears and can wear them for hours without having ear pain.
I just ordered another set for my i-pod and felt compelled to write 'my own' objective review.
Customer Review: Left Bud Blew out after 7 Days of Use Summary: 1 Stars
For a set of headphones with a listed price of 70 bucks, these don't last very long. As the title of this review suggest, the left ear bud of my headphone blew out after only 7 days of normal use, no dropping, no abuse, no tugging of the cords, just went out dead.
Unfortunately, my amazon return window was expired by the time I opened these headphones, so I had to go to the JLA site for a warranty, but their website just made me ran around in circles until finally I reached a page where they said their warranty service is in the middle of an upgrade and will contact me to finish the warranty request then they're done.
Besides that the headphones sounded ok when they did work, standard ear buds that should not cost more than anything over 20bucks, the cords lack a little loop that ties them together like the standard Ipod head phones do so that can be a real pain in the butt.
So that you go, average headphone, terrible life span, terrible after sale service. The only solace I got was I didn't pay full price for them.
Do yourselves a favor and AVOID these ear buds.
Customer Review: Great headphones Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased a pair of these headphones early in December and have been extremely pleased with them. Initially I was a little unhappy with them as they sounded almost muted. After doing a bit of research I read that these really needed to be broken in to get the best out of them. After allowing them to break in for a few weeks(I played regular music, as well as putting pink/white noise on loop back for several days) they have gotten much much better. The high end has lots of air without sounding harsh, the mids sound clean and without coloring, and the bass is full and handles transients well.
A note to those who listen to bass heavy music. These do NOT have a ton of bass output. It's satisfying and well balanced for all of the music I listen to, but there are many other headphones that provide heavier bass if that is your thing.
If you are looking for a nice sound set of headphones that provide excellent sound quality without tiring your ears out, these are great. The also aren't going to break the bank. I'll buy another set of these without a second thought.
