Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of JBuds Hi-Fi Noise-Reducing Ear Buds (White)Customer Review: Believe the hype: Unparalleled Value Here Summary: 5 Stars
When I purchase a new piece of sound equipment, one marker of its sound quality is how frequently I revisit old favorites just to see how they sound. Suffice to say, I've been glued to my iPod for several days.
I've spend three times this price on far-inferior ear buds. They're comfortable (coming with three different sized rubber tips), they do a better than decent job of eliminating outside noise, and most importantly, the sound is impressive. Even before doing the burn-in recommended by the instructions, they sound great. For around $10, this is an unbeatable value. For those concerned about use during exercise, they've stayed in just fine for me, and the instructions come with an additional helpful hint: simply loop the generous cable over the top of your ear. It's still comfortable, but adds an additional layer of security.
You'd be hard-pressed to find better sounding ear-buds in this price range. If you need a replacement set or are simply looking to upgrade the cheapies that came with your MP3 player, stop shopping: You've found what you're looking for.
Customer Review: They're just great! Summary: 4 Stars
I bought these to replace my Fontopia earbuds that died out and disconnected after less than six months. I researched exhaustively and decided that the JBuds were worth a try, with the added bonus that they don't cost a fortune.
I listen to a wide variety of music, and from the softest folky-pop to my favorite percussion-laden Blue Man Group, these earbuds have delivered excellent sound all around. They actually get better after about a month.
I haven't noticed any distortion or significant loss of high or low frequencies. I'm not super critical about hearing every note or reverb, but I still know good sound quality when I hear it. The JBuds work very well with my iPod Nano.
The earbuds themselves are a little harder than the Fontopias and therefore are not as comfortable. Even the smaller size buds seem a little big for my ears, but I can still wear them for long periods of time without much trouble. I'm very pleased with my purchase, even months after the fact. So far, the JBuds are showing better durability that the more expensive Sony's they replaced.
Customer Review: Exquisite for the price Summary: 5 Stars
After going through many headphones and earbuds (i.e. apple earbuds, sony earbuds, razer protones and 5.1 barracuda headset, these earbuds still emerge as the best pair of audio wear i've ever owned. Reasons are:
1) Nice sleek design with a lot of customization. I have smaller ear canals than average and the additional earbuds allow me to find the perfect fit for my ears.
2) Nice sounding treble where in many earbud products do poorly at.
3) Bass sounds responsive and realistic. I was watching a movie on my iPod where the cacophony of gunshots to the subtlety of footsteps sounded unlike anything before.
Although i've never heard of JLab prior to buying this product, I'm happy to say i'm quite pleased with these jbuds especially given its price and will probably invest in another pair for my GF.
P.S. The JBuds are definitely better than the Koss CVE92 (they are cheaper afterall). I bought both of them to see if there was a difference and the Koss earbuds had a weaker treble and the bass, to me, seemed muddled and awkward.
Customer Review: Great sound quality, but put togeather very poorly Summary: 1 Stars
First the good. The best part about jbuds is that the customer service is awesome and they are willing to bend over backwards to help you out. The sound quality on the ear buds is pretty good for the price and for them being earbuds, the buds themselves are comfortable and do a decent job at removing background noise and overall do there jobs very well.
Now the bad, the major problem with them in general from my experience of the three cheapest models is that while the buds themselves are of solid quality and relatively strong wires they are put together in a obviously cheap and rushed manner. Because of this the wires that are connected to the actual headphone jack are held in place with a single dab of glue. Any minor tugging on the headphones from jogging, walking or what not the wires will discount from the jack section and eventually will kill the headphones. The longest I had a pair last was 4 months and that was the cheapest set. Cheap headphones are one thing but they should last longer then 4 months where all they really go through is jogging....
Customer Review: Quality = Price X 10 Summary: 5 Stars
I was very skeptical at first because the price was $10 as compared to the $100-1000 that you see on many earphones/headsets. Also, this wasn't the BOSE that you see ads for everywhere, but instead was 'jbuds' which I have never heard of.
I tried them on two days ago, and apart from a slight squishing of my ear (you feel the phones after you take them out for a while), the sound quality was awesome. I mainly play them at low volumes, but when I raise the volume, you do get good bass. If you aren't going to be playing lots of music you'll be fine; I love music myself, and this is perfect for me.
Sound quality at high volumes: 3/5
Sound quality at lower volumes: 5/5
Fits ear well: 3/5
Cheap: 5/5
Sound quality for the price: 5/5
This is a great set of earbuds/earphones. I highly recommend that you buy these, especially if you are getting your first pair of earbuds, it's a great starter for you. Later on I might upgrade to something else, but for now, these are great!
Go JLabs!!
