Customer Review: Nice speakers but very fragile

I bought those speakers only because of the design. They are cute and original, no questions, but the flowery satellites have a vey annoying habits to fall face down, since they themselves are light and the cabels are thick.
The volume control does work, though I was a bit worried about it, after I read the reviews. However, it is very annoying to use, since you can't feel if you managed to actually click the button and change the volume or not, until the change is really significant. So, for fine-tuning the volume settings, it's easier to use software controls.
Anyway, the sound is decent, tha bases are even more prominent then I would normally like, so I pretty much turned them off. Overall, I'm not sorry about buying these speakers.

I had the old version of these speakers, the JBL "creature speakers" but stupidly gave them to my son. They were great and I had them for several years and they still work. I searched online to replace them to find that JBL no longer makes the creature speakers but these looked similar to them in concept (subwoofer and two small speakers). I ordered the fuchsia to match my pink laptop. They arrived today (a day early) in time for me jam while I do my spring cleaning. I love these cute little speakers. They put out enough sound that my son is now asking me to turn my bass down for a change, and look great as well. Highly recommend.Customer Review: The Spyro is great

I love my fuchsia Spyro speaker system. It is so fun to use and great to look at. The sound is excellent especially the base. I have used my Spyro with my new third generation i-pod and it is fabulous. The system can handle a pretty large space and is perfect for smaller spaces as well. Initially I found the volume control on the speaker to be a bit temperamental but with some practice I am able to set the volume without a problem. My only complaint is that the system is so unique people are distracted by its appearance which makes it difficult to teach my yoga class. I may have to hide the speakers!Customer Review: Nope the button doesn't really work for everyone.

It's not okay! I can only control the volume using my IPOD, which makes for limited sound. I wanted to love this unit for the look, the price, and the brand. It seems that the Pink one is the only one with the intermittent complaint about the volume controls. I do think the controls work on some units, and doesn't on others. I paid $50 for the unit, and was disappointed. I had to return it. If you're thinking of getting this color DON'T! Try the black or white one. It might actually work...no complaints from those purchasers that I can tell.Customer Review: JBL Spyro

Looks good, purchased for daughter for Christmas so I really don't know how it works, will update after Christmas.
Well it's after Christmas and daughter loves them, she hooks them up to her laptop at college and plays movies, great sound, deep bass. Watched Transformers and it sounded just about as good as my home theater surrond sound. Great bargin, she says it looks cool. All her friends are amazed, they have never seen anything like them.
