Customer Review: It's a pretty decent speaker system

These speakers are extremely easy to setup. Just plug them into your headphone jack and you're ready to start listening to music. Volume is controlled from a swivel on top of the right speaker. They are also very pleasing to the eyes and match my Macbook Pro perfectly. Now, the big question I'm sure you're wondering is how do they sound? They are certainly not the best speakers I've ever heard, but I guess they get the job done. If you really want to crank them up you'll get distortion and an audio hum. I've been running them at roughly 3/4 volume then control the audio volume through my laptop.
I wouldn't recommend these for an audiophile that wants extreme clarity and a really loud speaker system.
I would recommend these for a person that just wants to hook a laptop up for increased sound when watching you-tube, listening to iTunes and watching videos. These speakers also hook right up to my iPhone which is a nice little bonus.
Bottom line is these are a nice speaker system for a cheap price. Don't expect these to be your main sound system though. Their simply a cheap solution to get a better sound from your audio devices. I was only going to rate this 3 stars but decided to give it 4 because the diversity in electronics that you can connect to it as well as looks. If I was rating sound only I'd have given it 3/5 stars.
Please refer to the pictures for a reference on there size. In the screen that's a 22" display their sitting next to. So they are a fairly large speaker.
