Customer Review: Can't Recommend It
Summary: 2 Stars

Have you ever had that feeling when you open up a very high quality product that you have complete confidence in it and you made a good decision getting it?
Well, this one is just the opposite. As soon as I opened the box and saw that the included USB cable would not work, I had a sinking feeling about the drive.
I've got a Mac laptop with a USB port on each side. The distance between the included drive is about 5 inches. No way it is going to work. Iomega should know better and send a cable that reaches both ports. Seagate includes such a cable. Minus 2 stars.
I'd suggest buying a better brand.
I borrowed a cable to see if the drive would fire up. It did, but it only has 298 GB of space. The box said 320 GB. Losing over 20 GB is a significant loss. Minus one more star.
I'd suggest buying from a more reliable company.

Customer Review: Nifty little thing
Summary: 5 Stars

I've only had this thing for a few days now, and so far it's been pretty good to me. I have the 500GB version of this little thing, and I feel better knowing that my stuff will be safe in it. The first time I had it download my stuff it took forever (or maybe an hour), since I had a lot of stuff for it to take in. Now it doesn't take nearly as long to store in in. My only little concern is that time machine has given me a notice that it failed to download twice now. But just clicking on the application to download again solves that problem easily.
I choose the Iomega from the Western Passport Digital, because even though it was the more expensive one, it also had the best ratings, and better customer reviews. If you're willing the give out a little extra cash to get a run for your money, Iomega is probably your best bet.

Customer Review: Extremely portable
Summary: 4 Stars

I've had this product for a little over a month, and have used it probably 10-15 times, both for large transfers (over 100 GB) and small, single file transfers. I primarily use it to access files between my XP desktop and Vista laptop. The only problem I've encountered is that the drive is not recognized the first time it is plugged into a USB port. I have to unplug it and plug it back in before the drive is recognized. I haven't yet encountered any problems with data loss because of this, but only time will tell.

Aesthetically, the drive is a deep, beautiful red with a slightly sandy texture to it. It easily fits in my laptop bag, purse, or camera bag, and looks great sitting on my desk.

All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Customer Review: Great backup. Nice Size, Dependable
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had this for several months and it truly is a rugged unit. The quick usb connect had better than average transfer rates on most computers - you can plus one or both in depending upon need. Convenient size, nice sheen that is easy to keep clean. Fits into purse, pocket, glove compartment or anyplace you might want to take it with ease. I've used Iomega products since the zip drives [remember those big breakthroughs!!!] and this seems to follow in the same solid footsteps of dependable but cost effective. Fantastic little insurance policy for anyone on the go or just for those that need a bit of extra assurance their costly digital effects are in order. You can pay more - but why? You can pay les but chance it. Good product at a good price.

Customer Review: Perfect Aspire One Companion and Beeping Solved
Summary: 5 Stars

I just got my eGo a few moments ago. What a great deal, 320GB for under $100. I bought it for additional storage for my Acer Aspire One. I may end up buying a few more of these eGo's as they are compact and don't need a power source--just plugs into the Aspire's USB 2.0 port. As far as the split USB cable, it works just fine using only one plug/port on the Aspire, no need to sacrifice 2 ports just for the eGo. I also bought the 7 port USB hub from Cables To Go, that is recommended with this drive. The drive will beep and not show up as a drive on your computer if the hub isn't powered. Once it's powered, the problem goes away. Possibly the hub will work unpowered if you use both USB cables, but I haven't tested that yet.
