Customer Review: Iomega 320 with fire wire
Summary: 4 Stars

So far so good. I just received my Iomega eGo 320 GB FireWire 400/USB 2.0, I used the USB to connect, the instructions to format were precise, had no issues there. The only thing I wasn't happy about was that in formatting to NFTS I lost 21.91 GB, so almost 22, I had 298.09 left to use, while this is still a lot of space it means the drive is not as big as advertised. That is a bummer. I just got it and used the copy here from drive to drive (didn't use any software) and everything went well. I'll update in a couple of months as to how it's holding up.
Although everyone else said it ran hot, I didn't notice any excessive warmth, it seemed to run cooler than my other devices. I think good price for what you get, but you will not get an entire 320GB.

Customer Review: Nice drive when fixed...
Summary: 3 Stars

I already had one of the exact drives when I ordered this to back up all my photos. When this one arrived from the vendor the unit made a rattling sound. Fearing the worst I cracked it open (no difficult feat as two of the screws were already loose) and found a shield inside loose. After tightening it up all was good.
I am a little curious why this unit had brushed metal ends while my other one has chrome???
I don't believe this is the vendors fault. I think it missed quality control at Iomega.

Customer Review: Great Hard Drive
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a great Hard Drive. It's reasonably light so I can throw it in my bag and go. It comes with USB and FireWire cables which came in handy for my Comp since my USB ports are being used for my Laptop Wireless card and my mouse. There is no softwear to install, just plug in and it's ready to go. I've got a Mac and it worked great with the fireWire cable. My only complaint would be that I couldn't find a 500 Gig or a 1 Terabite version. I would have gone for more space.

Customer Review: Iomega Fan, but this one failed
Summary: 2 Stars

I have used Iomega for years. This USB hard drive is convenient and small, but has failed prematurely after less than one year. It should not be continually plugged in due to excess heat. Since this one failed, I have bought 2 of the redesigned 500GB models. So far, So good. They don't seem to have the same heat build-up of the one that failed.

Customer Review: Exceeds the Power Limits of its Hub Port
Summary: 1 Stars

Drive has never worked. PC continuously says that the USB device has malfunctioned and exceeded the power limits of its hub port. Iomega forums do not provide any information on resolving the issue. Not entertaining the idea of buying and carrying around the cables for additional power supply. Don't throw away your money!
