All I have to say about this is that it performs exactly the way it was designed to. I have an extensive CD / DVD Collection and this is the best way to sort and Basically find all of the Disks in my collection.
Basically this software for the Stakka categorizes and names the Cd's that you need stored in the system via your internet connection. Then this information is used for the system to find disks for you later, as you need them. If you have a lot of disks the process of loading and identifying the disks can take a while so bring a snack....
The Feature that I use the most often is the Check In / Check Out utility. This tool allows you to track who took you disk and when they took it. There is also a locking feature that will allow the administrator to lock selected disks or and entire unit (good for those DVDs that you do not want the kids to see).
I personally do not have a bad thing to say about it except for the fact that the database can be a little finicky so I would definitely advise that you back up the Databases in an area where you are sure thy can be restored from, otherwise you will have to go through the tenuous task of adding your collection to the system all the way form the beginning if you lose you hard drive or get a corrupted database.
If you are the kind of person who has a lot of Cd's and you can never find what you are looking for then this is the tool for you. I know that it seems expensive but for me it was well worth it!! I now have ten of these at home and I am very satisfied with the performance. Good Luck!!
