Customer Review: A GOOD WAY TO STORE CD'S

I had about a hundred or more CD's strewn on my living room rug in fron tof my CD player. I thought about my options: 1) Leave the CD's on the floor and let people step all over them, 2) Throw them away, 3) Buy a big rack to put them in, 4) By these boxes. I decided to try the boxes. I now have most of my CD's IN the boxes and the boxes put in the corner of the room. This seems to be one of the better ways to deal with all those little CD plastic boxes. Yes, there is a slight smell of rubber that comes from them. But, the smell isn't apparent unless you're sniffing VERY close to the boxes. This is the right size one that takes TWO ROWS of CD's..the other smaller one is only good for ONE ROW of CD's....so I suggest you buy this larger size. boland7214@aolCustomer Review: Very nice for a cheap cardboard-like box

I've searched a lot and there seem to be no good alternatives for storing CDs in a box of exactly the right size to hold them nicely. This box is basically a vinyl-cardboard material that snaps together. It is flimsy, but strong enough to do what it is supposed to do. I've stacked them four boxes high and that seems about the limit of height before bottom box would burst from the weight. They look really nice and cover fits securely enough. Note: I ordered four of them; three were perfect but on one the snaps did not line up so it had to be returned for replacement.
I would gladly pay more for a better-quality product, but this one does the job adequately for a decent price. No specific complaints and I'd buy it again.

This is a very basic box, with a divider and a lid. Not very complex, and I wouldn't really demand much from it. But the divider just came unglued from the sides of the box. It took nothing more than pulling the box to me from two feet away. I have to reglue it with something stronger than what looks like the double-sided tape that was actually holding it in place. Also, since the snapped corners don't hold the sides together flush, the box lid doesn't just set down in place. You have to carefully tuck in the corners or it just won't fit.
This is just a bad product. Badly designed, badly reinforced. I wouldn't buy this again, and I wish I hadn't pressed Buy in the first place.

All I needed was a CD box to put my CDs in and put them into storage to get them out of my way, so this works fine.
The construction is fine for long-term, minimal-use storage. Just be sure to hold the bottom and keep it square when moving with a lot of CDs, or it will rotate and the torsional stress will unsnap things. The middle divider is especially flimsy and disappointing. The cover fits, but it's not a smooth operation putting it on - take a bit of wrestling.
I wouldn't want to use this box if I were to be pulling CDs in and out all the time, but to get my CDs out of my sight and into the closet, it's a cheap and good-looking option.

THE SNAPS DO UNSNAP AND THE BOX COMES APART EASILY. I PUT GORILLA GLUE ON ALL OF THE SNAPS AND NOW IT IS PERFECT. I FILLED BOTH SIDES OF THE BOX AND NOTHING COMES UNSNAPPED. I DON'T THINK I COULD UNSNAP IT IF I WANTED Snap-N-Store SNS01658 Double Wide CD Storage Boxes Holds up to 330 CDs (Glossy Black with Chrome Accents)TO. I CAN MOVE THE BOX AROUND AS MUCH AS I WANT TO AND IT STAYS PERFECT ! ! !
