I have to agree with the "positive" reviewers here: these boxes are perfect for jewel boxes, holding 30 CDs with ease, but without allowing them to rattle around. The fiberboard has a solid feel to it. Assembly was easy. The lids I received were not as loose as some have described, but I leave the lids under the boxes as a tray, as that allows me to scan all the CD titles. It was also easy to make a few tab dividers for inside the box, and not much harder to print inserts for the placket on the front. An ideal solution for storing original CDs, which is about all most of us do with them anymore!Customer Review: Depends on What You Get

When they actually send the right product, the box is great. The first two I received were not the item pictured and were extremely difficult to get together and did not fit the CD file folders recommended with the purchase. However, I decided I needed another one anyway and bought a third from the same company. This time, I actually received the correct box and it is fantastic. The file folders fit perfectly and assembly is much easier and the snaps actually work and align. I just ordered three more from Staples, hoping they will definitely send the correct product and not the cheap version.Customer Review: Great product

This is an inexpensive way to store lots of CD's, including those for a computer.
This box is heavy cardboard, covered with waterproof vinyl, that is folded when delivered and snapped together. You can't stand on one, but these boxes are still quite rugged -- at least as strong as plastic.
A single box will hold 30 CD's in full jewel cases, 60 CD's in slim cases, or 165 CD's in envelopes. That's a lot of CD's for not much money.
I started with three boxes and am now buying them by the dozen. You'll find lots of uses for them.

The lid of the storage box doesn't fit the box. The lid looks to be made for a box that is about 1/2 inch wider. Since the width of the box is only 5.2 inches, the extra 1/2 inch is relative large in comparison. And because of the width of the lid, the box doesn't really close. The lid just sits loosely on the top of it. The boxes are okay if you don't plan to place them where people can see them. I gave the box only 1 star because of the poor fit and also because the seller failed to response when I emailed them. I have waited almost 2 weeks and still no reply.Customer Review: works like a charm

I was concerned because a few people claimed these boxes were too tight to fit CDs in cases. I took a chance and bought a bunch of them anyway for a couple of hundred CDs. Didn't have any problems. They look sharp, not that it matters since the boxes are going under the bed, and everything fit fine (except one oddly sized CD case).
Only reason I don't give it 5 stars - there is a holder for a card to label each box but they don't give you any labels. A little lame.
Anyway, they are cheap and work/look fine.
