Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of IOGear Enhanced Data Rate Bluetooth USB Adapter with Range up to 66 ft. GBU221Customer Review: Works Great with Vista Summary: 4 Stars
The main reason I got it was to use my new Motorola H500 headphones with Skype, and everything works great. Range is good too. I also put pics and ringtones on my cell phone.
I'm using it with Vista Premium and there are no problems.
It doesn't deserve 5 stars because it is a little thick which makes it tough to put 2 flash drives next to each other.
Customer Review: Caused Blue Screen Crash, limited range Summary: 2 Stars
I read the reviews and was impressed with Vista compatibility. I used it to connect to a Bluetooth headset for use with Skype. Install disk is useless, downloaded driver/software as recommended by others. Once working, the range was minimal, much static beyond 10 feet, so ok if sitting near desk. Biggest problem was the fact it crashed my laptop 3 times...I'm returning it.
Customer Review: Works well and config was easy Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking for a BT adaptor for my laptop that would support a stereo BT headset, and do dialup networking over bluetooth with my mobile phone. I'd never used bluetooth on a PC before, but the setup was very simple. RF is very strong - I can listen to my headphones from way more than 30 feet without distortion. Overall I'm very pleased.
Customer Review: Bluetooth USB Adapter Summary: 3 Stars
Worked first time with plug-and-play capability plugged into a Kengington hub on a Apple MacBook. However, my Bluetooth mouse keeps dropping the connection and there is a delay in making the mouse connection when the computer display has been dark. That may be the mouse rather than the adaptor, though. Overall I can recommend this product.
Customer Review: wrong product Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this product as an adaptor to connect to my wireless modem. It does not work because my modem is not blue tooth compatible (its an AT&T modem). Needless to say, I am VERY disappointed after spending $32 on this product and not getting the result i was hoping for. Maybe its "operator error", but personally, I don't think so!
