I bought this remote for elderly friends who were getting extremely frustrated with the complex remote on their new TV. It turned out the small buttons quickly resulted in one of them hitting one for some option other than changing channels, etc. As a result their new TV was frequently getting locked up until someone could go over and get it out of whatever function was stopping them from simply watching TV.
Once I set up the Tek Pal for them (quick and dead simple) all their problems with the TV went away. Almost every time I see them now they remark how happy they are with it and thus their new TV.
The Tek Pal does exactly what it says it does.

This is a very easy product to operate if you just have to work the tv, and don't have a cable box or satellite hookup. Hubby has brain cancer and has trouble using his hands, as well as trouble figuring out which buttons to push on the remote. This seemed like a great solution, but we had a satellite hookup and the remote doesn't work with them. Now have cable through the internet, still with a box, and the remote doesn't work with it either. I wish this company would come up with a similar remote that would work with our "cable box", because the simplicity and design of this remote are wonderful. And it was easy to set up to work the tv--directions on package.Customer Review: Great for the elderly!

Bought this for my 88-year old mother-in-law who had trouble with a standard remote because of the onset of Alzheimer's. She is so relieved to be able to use the remote herself again! Set up was easy. She uses it for her bedroom tv that is a secondary set hooked to Comcast cable. We did not try one on the main tv that uses the Comcast remote, so I don't know if it could replace that as well. The only problem is that the mute button does not function with her tv, but the down volume control works speedily enough. Besides, it probably is best that it won't work so that she can't accidentally lose her sound and not know why. Recommended!Customer Review: Fantastic Remote!

I purchased this remote for my 84-year-old Grandmother, who was having problems using the last "universal remote" I had got for her. She would hit the wrong buttons, couldn't remember or read what each button was for, and would get so frustrated she would just leave the TV on whatever channel it was on even if she had no interest in it.
But now she is THRILLED with her new Tek Pal Large Button remote! It is a perfect size, the buttons are very easy to read and are very reactive - just one push and they do what you want. My only regret - that I didn't buy this for her sooner.

I bought this remote for my 86 yr old mother with dementia. She was always messing up the features on the regular remote due to too many buttons. It was a constant struggle to keep the TV running. I went online to try and find a very simple, easy to use remote with just the basics. Wha-la, what a find! This is the easiest! She can only turn it on, change the volume, and go up and down with channels. The buttons are larger size for her arthritic hands, and very easy to see. The price was great also. I highly recommend this remote for anyone that has memory or eyesight problems.
