I specifically ordered the non-winding usb corded kit but I got this one. Cause the winding one is flimsy. But I didn't want to bother with returning it, I am hoping it won't break, it hasn't broken yet. I just needed a extra kit for work. I use it with the iPhone 3GS. Works great. The Wall/USB car charger both output 1 amp(good). The construction is fine, there isn't much involved in making this. It's a complete rip-off when store try to sell u an extra kit for $20+. The travel kit charges my iTouch in an hour and its convenient to use the charger that plugs into an outlet. I like how you can remove the usb cable from the plug. The car charger is a different story, the very first time I charged my iTouch in my car it started to smoke three seconds after plugging it in. It doesn't work in my car, it ends up heating up or smelling like smoke when I use it. I wouldn't recommend using the car charger unless you are going to keep your eye on it. Can this cause your car to catch fire?! IDK. You've been warned.Customer Review: Not Working Right Out Of The Box...

The car charger worked great. I could charge my iPod while listening to it. I'm currently trying to use the Travel Adaptor, but so far it's not working. I'm trying to discover the problem. It's not the cord, because the cord is working when connecting the iPod to computer. So, I can't really say anything about how the travel adapter works. But I give the car charger 5 stars. It gets the job done.
edit :: i actually got it to work. it works great. you just have to wait a second for your iPod to display the charging symbol.

This product is a good value and works fine. HOWEVER, it is being advertised as an Apple iPod charger and it is NOT an Apple product. It is a smart and inexpensive and versitile product for charging your iPod. All companies should make chargers like this that go from car, outlet and computer. This cuts down on waste and expense. You don't get much less expensive than the cost of this charger. Shipping is very high, but, that's how it goes. I would recommend this charger as very practical, versatile and a great value.Customer Review: Damaged my iPod

Because it was so cheap, I convinced myself that I could save money by not buying the standard Apple charger. Instead, I got a device that not only failed to charge the iPod, but damaged the battery when I tried using it.
After charging with this thing for an hour, I had to do a hard reset to bring the iPod back. Now the battery definitely doesn't last as long as it used to.
I went back and bought the name brand cable, and consider myself lucky that I didn't have to buy a new iPod.
